Do you use meta tags on the index page, home page or all the pages?  (not that i really know the difference between an index or a home page anyway since they appear to be the same on my site...)

If on only the pages, should the key words or descriptions be the same for all pages or be specific to that page?

(agh!  i hate the technical part of having a web site ;op)

So I have a craft website...

I submitted my site to I buy DIY and DIY revelution about a month ago.  But I buy DIY is apparently now offically on hiatus and my web administartors account thingy on DIY revelution still has the status of "pending review" for my site.  I e-mailed the web admin today.

I tried to submit my site to various search engines.  Some I couldn't figure out how, one search engine said that they no longer are excepting submissions, and some I was able to submit the site.  However my page does not pop up when i look search for it in any of them. 

I am not sure how to check stats or hits..i use go daddy for hosting...

What else can i do or what can i do better to get my site noticed on the internet?  (I am planning on putting my stuff on etsy, some consignment sites, and maybe find a craft fair where I can hand out business cards).  I don't want to be selling to people I know for ever!
