1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Mini Art Quilt 5 Gallery on: June 10, 2012 10:47:07 AM
Hello. I'm Posting for Funthreads since she doesn't have a computer at the moment.

She says ...
I received the cutest quilt from retro rose! It's a little mushroom forest. Can't you just picture a gnome and  fairies dancing about? I love it!

All the little details are wonderful. Embroidered cat tails by the water edge, seed beads making the sun dance on the pond and 3D tree tops. I fabrics are excellent too.

and

This will be traveling in the car with me and be the first thing up on the wall at my new house. Thank you sooo much. I love, love, love my quilt.
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: whatzudoin's card gallery on: November 23, 2010 12:27:44 PM
I've been posting my cards on my blog that I've neglected posting any of them on here. Here are some more of the recent cards... I apologize in advance if the cards have a glare, but some of the paper is shiny regardless of whether there's flash or not.

This card has green gems on it for Christmas. I thought I'd put a modern twist on Christmas.

In the spirit of Christmas! Yes, I've started early on my Christmas cards this year. I hate the last minute stress of making cards so I'm doing two a day to reduce the stress. There will be plenty more to come!:)

These were the first set of cards I donated to the It's My Heart Foundation.

I received from christie.mcnabb and got some interesting pictures. I can't post them all and it was hard to figure out what my top fav pictures were.

I requested the steam powered clock above  because I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

This is the awesome picture frame I received. I put one of my pictures in it since all of the pictures she sent are on my memory board displayed in my room. The picture frame says "create drama". I love it! It's now my favorite picture frame.

I narrowed down my pictures today that I want to send, but I still need to get them printed. I'm also in the process of thinking about how I want to decorate the frame.

Whew I'm finally done taking pictures! Now I just need to decide what I'm going to print out and work on the frame. We visited VA Beach, Cypress Forest at First Landing Sate Park, we took pictures of light houses, and we even got some farm pictures in as well. That's not counting everything else we took as well. Hopefully my partner will enjoy everything and I can't wait to see what pictures she takes. Smiley She has a wolf park near her that I'm hoping she can get pictures at!

Does anyone find it amazing on how many new places you find when you do swaps like this? I learned some neat history and saw some new places. Although I've also revisited some places I've been to before. I thought I've seen almost everything there is to see in my state when I've only seen about half of it in all of the years I've lived in VA. I love the joy of caring around my camera to take interesting pictures every day. Although taking tons of pictures might become a habit after this swap ends. It's fun to get out and take pictures around town or whereever with friends instead of the usual movie, eatting out, or shopping all of the time.
