13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / how to make enelope clutch? on: October 30, 2007 07:01:09 PM
Hi everyone. Smiley
Can you share a tutorial for envelope clutch? I tried to figure it out myself, but the way I do it the least seam it's always on my front flap. I don't like to sew on the top of flap so I use sometimes glue gun when I use heavy fabric like denim or suede. Is there another way to do it? How I can make a clutch with rounded flap. Can you explain it to me?
English is not my firs language so I hope everyone understand me. Huh
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / share your expereince with interfacing? on: October 16, 2007 08:22:04 PM
Hi Crafters.
I have a question about interfacing and which is your favorite. As I said in my other recent post I like Ultra Firm heavyweight interfacing but I cannot find it any more.
Today I stopped at Jo Ann fabric and got 1 yard of pellon 70 it is very stiff even more than the ultra firm I like. I am just worried if I will be able to turn the whole bag right side out.
And what about wrinkles. I used different kind of pellon pretty thick and stiff (not 70) and it wrinkled a lot when I turned the bag right side out.
Whats yours experience with interfacing? Which is your favorite?
share your experience!

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Ultra firm heavyweight interfacing on: October 12, 2007 05:29:21 PM
Hi everyone
I was wondering if some of you are using
"Ultra Firm Heavyweight sew-in stabilizer " style #9260 50% polyester 50% rayon.
I was buying this interfacing since January 2007 at wallmart for 1.44$ it was thick and sturdy. I lately run out so I went to walmart and I was surprise when I got The same  interfacing according to labels and style number but feels much different from what I am use to. it feels much thinner and not that sturdy. I have still scraps at home and it is not the same any more.  Huh Cry
can you tell me what kind of interfacing you guys are using for sturdy look of your bags. and how much it cost?
thank you

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My first tote with zipper :-) on: March 24, 2007 10:22:33 AM
 Hi everyone.
So I finally made a bag/tote with the zipper. It took me a couple of days to figure it out. It wasnt easy.
I used taffeta with I guess velvet like stripes on it and heavy sew in interfacing. It took me much longer to make it than regular tote but it was worth it. I am extremely happy with it.
This bag is going to be for my Mom. I think she will be proud of me because when I was a teenager she thought me how to sew zippers but I always stay away from them.I just did not like to sew them.  Two days ago I decided to give it a try.
I am sorry but I cant post a tutoring on it I am not good in English Embarrassed  I can do in Polish  Smiley
So what do you think?
Feedback welcome.
