2  Re: Little Visitor 11 - Winter Edition in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Mojen on: October 16, 2009 06:02:24 AM
I've been off Craftster for a while, but I took part in a previous round and it was a BLAST!

I might just have to dig out Trevor and see if he wants to wander again...

(this was his 'goodbye to mum' pic from last time)

oh my....

I set Rockstarmom quite a task, and holy cow she came through!

behold, the pride of my household and another wonderfully crafted item that my friends (who are all total, total geeks I must add) are now coveting!!

aren't they AMAZING?!

Sadly Jamies glasses got a little damaged en route, but I think a little glue should fix them (DH will do them later, I'm not allowed near the superglue...), but I now have my very own mad scientists!!

oh, and I sent DH a MMS of them and he replied with "is Adam missing an eyebrow?"  Grin Grin Grin

*wonders if 31 is too old to play with mythbusters dolls...*

A couple of teasers from yesterday's outing to London pride!

Amigito got carried around all day in various peoples pockets

Unless he was posing with glamorously dressed people... (it's amazing how many people were more than happy to pose for me/us!)

We had lots of people over and didn't get to sleep until about 3am, which is good, he'll be exhausted and should sleep for most of the journey home!

Be prepared to wist, especially if you have geeky tendencies!!

Confusableblonde did an AWESOME job of stalking me (we were/are keeping our swap items secret), she saw the "question" tissue box cover on my Wist and, well, as she said "took it a step further"

behold, I shall be hiding this next weekend, I have a swarm of geeks coming over for a party...

and also, JEW STICKER!! (and yes, I'm almost as excited about the sticker as I am about the geek-o-rama!) and Kool aid! (a UK knitter can ALWAYS use Kool aid!)

More detailed pics of each side of the tissue cover (which now has pride of place on top of my pc monitor!)

It's suddenly gone all quiet!

I'm assuming everyone's working on their scrapbooks, as am I, so here's an "in progress" shot with Amigito 'helping' me!

7  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 8: The Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Mojen on: June 13, 2008 04:57:54 AM
Well, I did some dyeing!

I LOVE both of the colours, but I'm not convinced that they're good together, but apart they're wonderful!!

Soaking the yarn

Squishy squishy! (this bit was the most fun!)

Pink/red drip drying

Purple drip drying

and they both smell SO YUMMY!  My SO got back from work and kept smelling them both  Grin

My partner was jojo_modjo, it was kinda spooky cause she shares quite a few things with my older sister... They have the same name, the same shoe size, the same job. the same taste in colours!!  So much so that the socks have been requested by my sister (I managed to make the pink toes different on the '2nd' on, so I ended up with 3 socks!!  Guess who's getting socks as a present soon...) and the puppets were nabbed by my sister before I could send them out!!  Thankfully they were quite easy to whip another set up!

Socks!

Cushion, to (hopefully) suit her decor!

puppet set, she's a teacher and requested (on another thread, obv!) puppets for stories

Felt stuffie Scottie dog!  She has a west highland terrier (sadly, there are, somewhere on a dead pc, pics of the real dog and the stuffie dog, damn pcs!  Cry)

Some extra bits - sweeties, 'teacher' stamps, some keyrings (she likes knick knack type things and took part in a whimsies swap), and a jolly rancher bar, which won't seem exciting to you US guys, but we can't generally get jolly ranchers here!

10  Not quite 1000 cranes yet, but... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Mojen on: May 24, 2008 10:39:38 AM
My SO *loves* origami cranes, and decided he wanted to start towards 1000 cranes (you're granted a wish/happiness/prosperity/nice shiny things if you get 1000 done, it's also meant to help teach patience and meditation), and we have a really annoying lightshade in our bedroom that has no covering, but seems to be welded to the light fitting!!

So, (excuse the pun) to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, between us both we made a mobile; he folded and I strung them up

ignore the mass of books, that'd be the SO's side of the room....

slightly closer up

from underneath

It'll be an on-going thing (obviously I'll need to get more creative as we get more and more, 1000 won't fit on there...), but we also want to ask friends and visitors to make at least 1 crane each, the more people involved the more luck is meant to be received.  We happen to have visitors this weekend, so we already have one from someone else

and finally, this is my favourite one, and my favourite pic!
