I finished these awhile ago but i really havent been able to get a good picture of them. I finally settled on this one but the colors pop much more in person. I did them in Harrisville Shetland style out of my stash. They were the first project i finished for myself after i was done with my xmas knitting and i pretty much flew through them. Needless to say they are a little rough around the edges and Im thinking of making another pair and taking more time on them. Today at work a girl came up to me while i was wearing them and recognized the pattern! That had never happened to me before so I was pretty floored. i highly recommend the pattern as they were very fun to knit. I love all the other ones ive seen on craftster and on Eunny's website.



Oh PS that little annoying loop on the cuff of the right one has since been woven in!

Im planning on making Ysolda's Matilda Jane sweater after much drooling over the photos. I have a gift certificate to Webs that I got for Christmas for 50 bucks. Id like to buy the yarn for this sweater there and not have to pay too much extra (like im thinking ill pay for shipping out of pocket) The pattern calls for about 1100 yards of yarn in the size i want in DK weight. So after much deliberation ive narrowed it down to these three options:

The Cashsoft is probably my last choice due its the high percentage of microfiber. My question really is has anyone used Queensland Uruguay? I cant find a review online for it and id like to know if is being closed out cuz it sucks or for some other reason. Also has anyone made this sweater? If so what yarn did you use?

My dad just got me this new magazine called Craft:transforming traditional crafts and it looks pretty cool. I haven't completely read it yet just skimmed but there is an article about Jess Hutchinson's robots and other knit toys and a how to on knit boots. Super cool. There is a wide variety of different types of projects including one on how to silkscreen that i will be checking out. www.craftzine.com is the link and there website looks neat too. I made my sister this hat for xmas. Im really hoping it fits. It's actually a lot bigger than it looks in the picture. I followed a pattern that someone posted in the discussion section and can dig it up if y'all want. It was a super quick knit. I used lambs pride worsted for everything but the black. The hardest part about making this was duplicate stitching the lines on. For some reason i had the damnest of a time getting it to work. I made the chart so that could have something to do with it. Anyway I hope she likes it!

I knit these mittens for my boyfriend's birthday (which was actually about a month ago) but i just took a picture last night. The pattern came from the book Fox and Geese and Fences (or something like that) which is a book of mitten patterns. I used Knit Picks Palette which I like (mostly for the price) but I do have to say they fuzz and pill quite a bit. luckily my boyfriends couldnt give hoot but I'm constantly obsessiving over them. The colors are a little less vibrant. oh and by the way I don't ever really take pictures of my knits but when I do they turn out like complete poop. Is there any trick to taking a good picture of knitting?

hi there everyone i have a question. I want to knit my sister argyle mittens for xmas because she is argyle obsessed. Now i realize that i can take an argle chart and put it on plain mittens but to save any real effort on my part I was wondering if anyone as seen a pattern for argyle mittens. Also if no mittens how about a good argyle chart. I found on the one on Dmade which I like but i'm a girl who likes options. thanks!

yay this is the first time posting any FOs of craftster. mostly because my camera is a peice of crap and i dont feel like dealing with it. i knit this with some loverly hand dyed hand spun merino i picked up at the wool arts tour (in NH) like two years ago and it was so pretty i was scared to knit anything with it for a long time (weird i know) but i broke down and knit this one day.


the colors are off in the picture (of course) they are actually much darker and look a bit like pink camo in a cool way.


The pattern calls for basket stitch but i did moss as it is my favorite. with such a small gauge it came out looking a bit like crochet



my ipod is oh so grateful as he is now not covered in the illusive dirt that magically seems to collect in the bottom of my handbag

hey i was wondering if anyone has come across a pattern for a knitted garden mat? you know the squishy foam things that keep your knees from hurting while you are gardening. i could have sworn i saw a pattern for one and i have desperately been trying to find it for father's day. (i know i procrastinated) even if i cant get it by then i would appreciate it if you all kept your eyes open for one.

i was wondering is anyone has come across and calvin and hobbes color charts for knitting. i am aware that this is a lazy question because i could make one myself but i am just that, lazy. and any other crazy/random charts you'd like to share, im starting a little bit of a collection. each chart i find i knit to size and im going to make a quilt when im done in about ten years.
