31  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: PROJECT RUNWAY: Season 9 - Season Premiere -Official Craftster Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2011 01:34:53 PM
I thought it was a great challenge and I was thoroughly happy with the outcome.
Bert is my favorite so far, but I always root for the older people, LOL! I had to laugh when he said, and the text under him said!!!, that he was 102 years old.
I am looking a bit side-eyed at the Trinidad girl, but hey, there ARE prodigies out there. Beautiful girl.

Happy Birthday Tim!!!!

Paper towel rolls cut into strips:

Hot glue the strips together into 5 petal flowers and then spray paint the color(s) of your choice:

Hot glue flowers together and hang above/around a door frame:

Got the idea from here:

They used more flowers, but my spot wasn't wide enough for that.

Hope you like!

Personally I would use fray check. I've used it many times in the past and it works really well.

38  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bag For A Galaxy Tab on: May 21, 2011 10:29:57 PM
It came out great. I like the rings on the side I bet it well H*ll getting the needle through 87 layers of material hahaa

My poor sewing machine!
At one point where the tabs for the D-rings go I literally had to get through 4 layers of neoprene and 2 layers of towel. I must have sewn it 17 times on each time to get it to go all the way across the tabs without either breaking the thread or bogging down the whole machine.
39  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag For A Galaxy Tab on: May 20, 2011 09:43:37 AM
Made this for my husband's Galaxy Tab. I had to make it in the  middle of the night because it's the only time the Tab is not in his hands. It's made from neoprene and is lined with a microfiber towel. I used seatbelt straps for the strap. This is for him to use when he is walking or riding his bike. No action shot because of course he took the Tab to work with him, LOL, so I will just have to say that the bag hangs on your back and in no way looks like a purse. The fit is very tight so there is no wobbling around.
