211  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Dr. Seuss and Horror Barrettes on: February 16, 2007 09:16:25 AM
You guys have given some great answers here!  I have been wondering a lot of these questions myself...  It is so hard to always know what the exact rules are, and I know the rules for jewelry are pretty blurry....  Thanks for giving me some basic knowledge!!

I love the idea behind these TrashedClothing...  I've seen them done with glass marbles and they turn out well too...  I like the idea of bottle caps though...

I absolutely LOVE the owl buttons at the top!  My mother is a huge fan of owls....  and this has inspired me to try to make some tiny ones out of polymer clay that I could turn into beads and make some jewelry for her...   I'll let you know how they turn out if you like...  thanks so much for the inspiration!!!!
213  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Clay Turtle, Peeps, and mushrooms! on: February 16, 2007 06:17:01 AM
If you end up making them will you post pics?

I will!  I showed your posting to my mom last night and she expressed concern that dad would try to bit their heads off.  She has never been on craftster before, and I was showing her all the things I loved.  I feel like such a ninny for not knowing that the glitter was already in the clay, but for some reason I feel like Michaels doesn't have it that way... Where I am that is the only place you can really get any craft supplies...

Thanks again, and I'll let you know how they turn out!!!
214  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: fairy, angel, kitties and more.*LOTS of pics* on: February 15, 2007 04:35:10 PM
Well I think your fairies are lovely.  Their faces are amazing.  I'm trying to make a wedding cake topper for a friend, and the face is the hardest part for me, and mine is nowhere near as tiny!  I am in awe!!  Right now I am working on the arms and legs.  I keep getting frustrated, but then I saw yours and I was like, wow, and mine are huge in comparison....

and I love the flower guy!!!

this is a bit of a repeat, but I do adore these.  The turtle is very very cute....  and I can't get over the bunny peeps.  My dad is a tad bit obsessed with peeps, and I have to give him some every time they are sold.... I'd love to try to make him some if you wouldn't mind my borrowing your idea!   Did you add glitter to the clay?

I think these are adorable!!!!  If you make another pair of the first, try it with the words maybe and see how that looks, but I think my favorite are the second pair.  They elegant without trying too hard..  if that makes any sense...   nice job! Smiley
