11  Recrafted -Misfits- Stool... in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Syringe_Tide on: October 24, 2007 10:09:39 PM
I haven't posted any of my work on here yet so I figured "What the hell?"

I found this ratty old stool at a thrift store for 5 bucks. It was totally gross and looked like it had a sweat- stain, butt-print on it, but I knew I could get something cool out of it. Sorry I don't have any before pics, I was just so eager to start it that I didn't take any. The only thing that is original to the stool is the wooden base.

I used black denim for the seat. Green With Envy Ribbon as an adornment, Green Matte Fabric paint for the -Misfits- (Crimson Ghost) design, and Jellybean Green Paint/Stain for the base. It took me about 45 minutes to do the seat and 2 hours to do the base. I had to sand it all by hand, (it was pretty beat up and splintered), and I used 2 coats of paint/stain. I think I did pretty damn good, if I don't say so myself. (Don't mind my big head, LOL.) What do you think???
