that's adorable- love the braided cables.  what a great idea.  the interior of my car is black leather (why did we buy that?!!!) and here in MAryland the summers are pretty hot.  I'm usually reduced to tossing a towel over the sterring wheel so I don't get second degree burns.....

that is fascinating!!  I'll be checking out the details and videos.  I had just been wondering if I could knit nice thick potholders without having to seam two together- and here you answered me!  I'll be looking for those books you recommended too.  Thanks!!
