61  Re: $4.95 Swap AKA Fill a SMALL Flat Rate Box R2 Goodie Gallery in The Swap Gallery by YumJello01 on: June 17, 2010 07:12:27 PM
Woohoo!  I got home and BAM, the mailman loves me.

Look what I got from JessySihk:

Firstly, super useful bunch of latex gloves.  Perfect for resin casting safety.

Beautiful gold jewelry findings.

Really pretty paper bits.

Sculpey!!!!

And I honestly can't tell which between these last two shots I am more excited about....

Seed beads, these sweet "stone" looking beads and some charms and these wickedly awesome i-ching like beads that my camera REFUSES to focus on for a good enough picture and these...things....Jessy, what ARE these sweet little cog-like items?  Why do they remind me of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction"?

(there is also a container of gold seed beads not pictured)

TINY ALPHABET PASTA!!!!

My mind is literally racing over all the stuff I can do with what I've received!  I actually had to grab a journal and start a "crafting journal" because of all the ideas I came up with just going through the package!  I can't wait to start crafting....SQUEE!!!

Bah, work/family/life.

Meg sent me some great IT stuff!

An excellent tray...I have been DYING to be able to eat in bed, this is perfect!!!  And you better believe I'll be hosting some event, bringing stuff from the kitchen on this!

She made me and my lovin' BF shirts!

Mine's pink!!!  (If you've got a better pic of the transfer, my camera is kinda crappy, but it's the same image as the tray.)

And the coolest - she pixelized me!

And made me (into) stationary!

Thank you so much!  I can't wait til you get your stuff (I need to hurry up and send!)  Yay!!  Great partner!

I'm glad you like everything Mxer!  I'm so glad everything got to you in one piece, I kept reading about frames being broken, but I packed it up GOOOOOOOOOD.  Im sorry I forgot the CD!!!  I was out of town or I would have posted these links soonertheres I think 4 or 5 more than what I sent you, because when they printed they either got blurry or cut weird.  And I am so glad you like the Dubai pics, I will have to post more to this gallery, I have a million camel pictures.

I received my absolutely gorgeous package from Mxer145 today!  Pic Heavy (obviously?)

Kamikaze wants to check that Customs did their job.

The cover letter to my picture package with a great felt flower pin (that Kami was licking...)

Mxer145 mounted all her pictures and wrote some info for each pic! (Great minds think alike darling!)

My frame all wrapped up (I thought it was great!)

My hand-decorated frame!  You did such a beautiful job!  It both stands and hangs, I think I am going to put it on my shadowbox shelf once my BF hangs it.

Evilyn doesn't understand how nothing was for her!

And now onto my FOUR favorite pictures, which was really hard to narrow down.  Mxer145 included a few pictures from past seasons, which she called cheating, but I disagree!  What's cheating is having such beautiful subject matter!  Dirty ol' NYC cannot compete, and I am shamed by your amazing pictures...

Inside one of the Scenic Caves - that light is amazing!

A view of "Blue Mountain" skiing area from afar - all that snow!!!! /jealous

Mxer145 does some photoshop, so I got some great pics made even greater!

Harbour Picture - this is totally my favorite too!

"Downtown"

I loved your pictures!!!  Thank you bethiej78 for giving me such an amazing partner, these pictures are exactly what I need to remind me that there are beautiful places in the world, and nature exists!

I hope you enjoy my pictures, Mxer145, but they pale in comparison!

65  Re: The IT Crowd Swap R2 - (Signups 4/1-4/15) Sendouts 28th May in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by YumJello01 on: April 21, 2010 08:23:49 PM
Sitting here with my IT boyfriend watching the show to get an idea for project #3, and he informs me of something funny...

Does anyone know what the very first shirt we see Roy in means?

It's funny now that I get it...

66  Re: FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS SWAP: the gallery! in The Swap Gallery by YumJello01 on: March 22, 2008 01:03:12 PM
Thanks Era Vera, everything you sent me was simply amazing.  I mean it.  That bag will get used SO often, the store across the street double bags EVERYTHING even if you ask them not to.  It's like a fight to the death to reduce some garbage.  So I was just talking about how I needed a cloth shopping bag.  It's perfect.  The buttons are awaiting a new bag with a shoulder strap, since I lost my wallet that one night I bought a regular ol' purse with a zipper, but I really want a new messenger bag and I will cover it from one end of the strap to the other with your buttons.  I'm so jealous of your actual button making ability!

Here's a (blurry) pic of the jellybeans bag....over half empty already, racist dragon tears go quick in this apartment.

You really spoiled me, and you were such an awesome partner.  I'm sorry I can't say the same for myself!

My partner received!  *does the completed swap dance*

Since her camera no worky, she requested I take pics before I sent, and here they are, in continued crappy cell phone quality.  Apologies.

Group shot:

The magnets that I made...(damn mod podge and its glare)...movie posters for Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, and the S.T.A.R.S. police force badge and Umbrella Corp. logo.

This little guy I found in a really awesome store in NYC, which is why I was so late sending I went out of town and didn't think I'd made enough...he didn't get his own picture, just a crop of the group, but he was sweet...

The shirt I made for her, after numerous attempts at acetone transfer I just wound up hand-painting it...

Her boyfriend did this amazing photoshop of her as a zombie, and I thought it was so good it needed a frame...it says "Kira...is a zombie" in colors she requested.

This stationary is actually the first thing I made for her, when we first got partners...I love it.

Whole package...

Close up of my little zombie guy...

And the detail on the envelopes...

And the piece d'resistance...or at least, the one I think she loved the most, the box.
The pictures are terrible, but it's covered in Magic the Gathering and World of Warcraft cards, with zombie themed art.  I wish I'd gotten better pictures, 'cause they were awesome.

top of the box

I don't know how to top this swap, it was the best!!!

I have the most creative awesome crafty partner ever.  I so effin' love everything I got!  Yay Kira!!!!!

When I went to the post office to get my package from Kirashii/send my package to Kirashii the post office lady made me open it in front of her after I showed her everything I was sending.  I think this may have convinced HER to get on craftster, heh.

(I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but I haves no digital camera save for my two year old cell phone one)

First:  The bottom of the box, which made me giggle:

And a group shot: (there's some Japanese candy in there too that just is amazingly tasty)

Bottlecap magnets, which are already on my fridge....

And a close up of two iconic images

These great compact mirrors, one for each purse I'm currently carrying...

Some awesome accessories...skull barettes, gun earrings, and a zombie-fied power up mushroom

Close-up of the barettes/keychain

Zombie animal stuffies!!!!  Kitty and bear, adorable and horrifying!!

And then a purse/wallet combo guaranteed to make all horror fans jealous!

purse, complete with cutest grommeted pink ribbon straps

wallet

liner of wallet (LOVE)

Amazing amazing amazing things, and I feel horrible for taking so long to send, LoL.  You'll get your stuff in merely a few days time Kirashii, promise!

I'm experiencing craft-swap euphoria, I think I might have to lay down.
