1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Cowl from Howl and Cowl Sizing Question on: February 22, 2007 12:30:56 PM
need some help figuring out which size to make. I need at least a 36.5 finished bust but I generally wear a small in sweaters and shirts and a size 6 overall. I think a X-large, which is the only size bust line which will fit will be huge otherwise. What should I do? This is sort of embarrassing, but if you have any experience with making this or just any advice I would aprpeciate it.

I have never made a sweater before and am trying to figure this out.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Honeymoon Cami or Asana Tanktop with Crystal Palace Breeze? on: February 20, 2007 09:51:24 AM
I bought enough of it to make either, and I want to know what you would suggest.  The guage for Crystal Palace Breeze(5-5.5/inch) is closer to the guage of GGH Mystik (22 stitches per 4 inches) than Rowan All Season's Cotton, but I think I might get more use out of Asana.

Any thoughts please?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn Suggestion? on: February 11, 2007 04:30:59 PM
I recently made my mom, who has quite the unique fashion sense which I love, a scarf made out of Lion brand watercolors.  Her husband, who is a glass blower, wants a scarf that has the same sort of scattering of colors, because he thinks the scattering looks like the tiny pieces of glass they use to create splotches of color in their pieces.  The watercolors yarn is a little fuzzy for his scarf however, so does anyone have a suggestion for yarn that would create the same sort of look but not be so fuzzy?  I am sending them to a yarn store in their city for suggestions but I thought one of you might know the perfect thing!  Thanks in advance!
4  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / Knitting Group on the B line? Preferably Allston area? on: February 09, 2007 10:58:49 AM
Is there one, or is anyone interested in forming one for say, tuesday nights?
5  UNITED STATES / New Hampshire / Knitter Moving to NH in August on: February 09, 2007 10:55:00 AM
I'm moving to NH from Boston in July right after taking the bar.  I ran across a yarn store in Portsmouth that was pretty small.  How are the knitting supply stores and groups up there?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Hood and Scarf Combo Pattern? Please? on: February 07, 2007 11:09:18 AM
Does anyone know where to find a good hood and scarf pattern?  I found one online once where the pieces were knit spearately and then knit together, but I can't find it again.  If there is a pattern in a book that would be great too, because I would go get it.

Thanks for any help you can give!
