So I just got engaged last month ! Hurray!

We're planning a Sleeping Beauty themed wedding...but the forest cottage part of Sleeping Beauty...not the castle part. My bridesmaids will be dressed as the 3 fairies...and my fiance will be wearing a red cloak like Philip!

The dress I'm going to make...my petticoat underneath will be pink and blue cause the fairies couldn't figure out what color to make my dress...

There will be tons of DIY as I'm trying to keep this under $3,000...not including the honeymoon....so Martha Stewart poms and flowers from Micheal's galore!

So I couldn't really figure out exactly what to call them...cause they're made out of felt...but they have the rag doll floppy-ness to them. Sooooo.... Rag Plushies maybe?

I made these for my friends for Christmas, which we celebrated this past weekend:



This one was for my friend who's part of a Derby League out here. Her team is called Runaway Brides.

So the boy and I just celebrated Christmas this past weekend...I know I know we're a bit late...we're unconventional, what can I say.

Anyway

I made him a book about us!

The cover is made out of bits of a guitar hero box, blue scrapbook paper, that rub and buff stuff and some black lace and ribbons...the rest is made out of pounds and pounds of paper and love.

















"We're gonna get attached" is what I said right before he surprised me with our first kiss, cause at the time I was getting ready to move to Alabama...and I didn't want to miss him too much...good thing I didn't end up going <3.
He's so precious.

These last two pages weren't supposed to be glued together....but I got a little glue happy and they stuck before I realized it

So yesterday while I was bored out of my mind at work and rifling through wedding stuff on the net I got this fabulous idea... Instead of the traditional ring bearer walking down the isle with a pillow....make a music box and put pretty velvet fabric or something in it and have the rings rest on top of that....wind up the music box and send him down the isle.

I think it would be precious.

Only down side is if you have a long isle....I don't think it would work that well... but it would still be precious!

I made a dress!

It's in 3 pieces...and the top was kind of a pain. The darts are way wonky so it kind of squishes my boobies...which is ok, cause they're in the way of everything in my opinion. So no harm no foul.

OK.
So the pinafore was my first sewing project. Ever. I'm pretty proud of myself...the hem is a little crooked and the hidden zipper that's not so hidden is sort of dodgy...but all in all I think it's pretty exceptable for my first project.






The pictures are kind of shotty...cause my mirror is dirty and nobody was home to take pictures of me... and ignore the obnoxious flash...just think of it as a....fairy! Yeah! I'll put better pictures up soon.

ANYWHO! THE CRUNK! (It's what the yellow letters say)

This was more of a recon but I was pretty much lazy and decided to just post it in here. I used a tutorial for this (that hoodie one in the recon section.) It used to be 3 shirts. The Green part used to be a 2x and was my friends and the black parts were part of some hideous old mardi gras tees. The sleeves are sort of bubble sleeves I guess?




I have a nice picture of the shirt on the floor where you can see the bubbleness of the sleeves... but there's a massive stain that I'm going to photoshop out first :3
