41  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / does anyone know how to make this skirt? on: July 15, 2004 03:21:03 PM
i saw this skirt at Club Monaco today, but I would never pay for it, way too expensive. i'm just starting to make clothing, and want to make this skirt. does anyone have any advice. i can't seem to find a pattern like it. all i can find are vintage skirt patterns similar, but who wants to pay $20 for a pattern?  thanks you guys! oh yeah, if you go to clubmonaco.com, it's the ALMA skirt.
http://www.clubmonaco.com/ then to womens.

Dover Publications has some great books filled with copyright free images.

you could use contact paper on the shelves, they come in some great patterns, and you just wipe them clean.
you could also use fabric, attached to the plywood with a spray adhesive. maybe cut a decorative edge to hang down. maybe a scallopped edge or a zig zag edge.
you could paint them in a bright color scheme.
there's so much you can do.
i could go on forever.

hey everyone. i'm pretty new here and this is my first post.
everyone seems so smart and helpful, so i thought i might ask your advice.
i was wondering if anyone has ever ordered from speedstitch.com?
i recently ordered some transfer markers on their website. the problem is, they charged my credit card immediately, yet never sent me an order confirmation, or my order. and i cannot seem to get a hold of anyone at their posted phone number except for the "cleaning guy".

has this happened to anyone?
what can you do?
any other sites to warn about?

thanks
