I love the fabric. I seem to do better with my own patterns then following any for that matter.

Really nice work. Did you use batting to make like the feel of a quilt?

Hi,

I used fusible fleece instead of ordinary batting.  That way it stays in place better and gives the bag a nice feel, not too fluffy, not too light, just right---LOL, just sounded kinda "little bear" from "Goldilocks".... But I do love the feel. Grin

I, too, love to use my own patterns, and this one was a little of a challenge for me with the "stupid" bias tape (I have little love for the stuff Cry )  BUT with this bag I do love the outcome of the pattern.

Thanks!

nice job.  Your purse is so well done.  I've sewn another version on this pattern.  I think it's the smaller one, like  yours.  It looks cute, but my daughter doesn't think it "carries" well.

How does your "carry?"  thanks. catdaddytn

Hi Catdaddytn,
Thanks!!  I love the way the purse carries, except I have a tendency to overload it, LOL, I do that with all my bags though.  I enlarged the cutouts for the handle so it would fit over my shoulder, I just feel more safe carrying my bags like that.  Hope that answers your question, Thanks again! Grin

Grin Thanks!!  The encouragement and ideas on the use of bias tape are much appreciated!!!--- still don't know if I will use it for a while, kinda stressed me Angry..  I still love the outcome of the bag so it was worth the hassle!!  Smiley
