1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Applique sushi pillow (and my cat :)) on: October 12, 2004 01:40:25 PM
I was very, very bored this weekend. The pillow is made of felt, with split stitch used to attach just about everything, and for the green embroidery. Smiley

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Jellyfish Tray on: February 23, 2004 02:43:30 PM
This is probably incredibly silly, but I've gotten really into painting wooden things (from AC Moore, pretty cheap) and made a jellyfish tray to keep all of my stuff in. I primed the tray with white paint, penciled on the jellyfish and the stripes, then painted. The seaweed was freehand. After I put on all of the colored paint (liquid acylic), I used a black Zig Painty marker-pen-thingy to put in all of the black lines. It's going to be coated in spray finish, but I wanted to get the photo while it was still matte. Be careful with spray finish and the Painty markers, you have to apply a lot of light coats instead of heavy, or the marker-pen-stuff bleeds like crazy.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Amoeba Beads on: February 01, 2004 09:22:31 AM
I was playing with my clay last night and ended up with these. I think they're kind of cute. Smiley

They're just bases made from polymer clay with little disks of clay stacked on them.
