1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chainmaille Necklace on: February 12, 2009 12:36:20 PM
My first attempt at chainmaille! Captive Inverted Round chain for my husband for v-day.. A necklace that I think is heavy and manly enough that my hubby will like it even though he doesn't *do* jewelry. Smiley

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Army dress hat + Clearance belt = My Purse on: April 28, 2008 12:57:54 PM
Here goes my first purse post...

I turned my husband's old army hat into a purse! I turned it upside down, added a zipper closure, and attached a belt as a strap. The belt buckle can still be opened and closed, so the strap is adjustable.

Here goes my first attempt to post pictures...

Another fun shrinky dink necklace:

And last, a pair of wire and bead wrapped hoop earrings:

Thanks for looking!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Dremel ? on: November 06, 2007 08:07:03 AM
Hi Smiley
I want to make holes in resin, wood, and potentially other materials, to make pendants. It seems like lots of you use dremels, but I don't know what a dremel is! Shocked A search online comes up with lots of different tools, and there's no listing for them on my usual craft store websites. Could someone tell me what exactly I would need for this kind of project, and where I could find one? Thanks so much!
