1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Too many ties! on: August 12, 2004 07:55:25 AM
Okay, so at my local thrift store, you can get about twenty-some odd ties for $2.50, and ive bought too many bags of those and have run out of ideas. Lol, i know, it's such a sad story. I have made tie watches, glued ties diagonally on a coarkboard for a nice place to display pictures, and i've even glued them (same way as corkboard) on top of a abercrombie bag for my friend's bday present bag. I am all out of ideas, and i still can't help myself when i come across a bag of men's ties... please help me out here. Xoxo

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / vintage matchbook and plastic charm earrings on: July 17, 2004 01:21:44 PM
Well, i had all these old plastic charms laying around, so i decided i needed to do something with them. The same goes with my matchbook covers. So, i went to hobby lobby and bought a necklace with chains, hypo-allergenic earrings and tiny jump rings. Then I Made two copies of the matchbooks that i wanted to use. I then cut the shape out of the matchbook copy and laminated the two inages together and cut them out. then i used a tiny hole punch to make a hole at the top and with pliers put the jumprings in. then i did the same to the other one. Then i applied the charm with another jump ring...and there you go, that's how i made these earrings. The right earring isn't completely dont becasue i still need to go and get a 2nd copy...thanks for reading!!! here is the link to see the earrings --------------> http://www.geocities.com/sokkerchickno3/earrings.html
