She looks fabulous! I love her handpainted face.

I haven't heard of her book (doesn't it appall you when someone hasn't ever heard of your favorite book?!), but I'm definitely going to check it out. Yay for literary crafting!

Craftewoman had her baby last weekend! I had an email from her stating only that much when she sent me the Elinore pattern.

Yay, babies!

BellaLupina - Paks looks really nifty. I'm going to check out her thread now!

Yay, Stella has her own thread!

She's such a pretty girl, with that beautiful, shiny hair and pretty mouth and lovely ears.

How did you do the ears, if you don't mind my asking? They are so great!

Ah Ha!!! Now we know who the puppy was really for.

*innocent face* I'm sure I don't know what you mean! Grownups don't play with dolls! And parents would never take toys from their toddlers! I mean, really...

Of course... The Man has already made it very clear that he will be involved when I make a poppet with boobs... For inspection, he says...  Wink

That is so cute.  I love those little big paws.

Thanks, Ghilie!

Are you tired of being thanked profusely for the pattern yet? Because I've got another debt of gratitude for you: I recently recieved the pattern for Yoki the dragon and when I was looking through it this morning, I totally knew that I could make it, no problemo, thanks to the poppet pattern. So -- thank you thank you -- once more!

Aw, thanks so much for the kind words!

Spoox - Copycat away! I'd be totally flattered. And, yeah, I think my husband and I both felt kind of sorry for the puppy too. It's funny how -- well, not alive-- but he seems to have a personality and everything, and the man and I totally respond to that. We pose the puppy all over the house and talk to it. Kind of crazy-like, I suppose.  Grin

Ha, thanks, everyone! I tickled myself with the kitty collar, too.  Roll Eyes  I put it around his little neck and took him into my husband and said, "I'm funny."  Cheesy  Who doesn't enjoy the irony of a Chesire-cat dog collar?

I'm not too broken up about the poppet not being the baby's favorite. It's possible a part of me was even a little worried he might be. Who knows how quickly puppy limbs would start disappearing into toy boxes or seams start popping or other issues I worry about if he were? Gentle loving is fine by me. Right at this moment, the puppy is laying on his pillow with one of the baby's security blankets covering him up. Nice.

I'm happy everyone likes him though! He's such a happy-go-lucky little fella, he deserves the attention, I think. :-)

Thanks for the love, everyone!

Thanks for the heads-up, SactownSue. I'll go fix the link right now.

Dessadoll - Can't wait to see pictures of your Earth Goddess! Don't forget to take the pictures before taking her to her new home.  Cheesy

Shelichan - The fabric you have sounds really interesting. I can't wait to see how she turns out!

Gwendles - Welcome to the Poppet-a-Long! Beware: they're bewitching!

First, my puppy is all done and posted in his own post here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=270692.0

I have to admit, the fleece took me by surprise. It was perfectly right for his look, but because I cut it with the stretch "long," once he was stuffed his limbs were long and lanky. I also had made his feet bigger than usual on purpose, but again, with the stretch, they turned out hyoooge. He is cute though. And all his quirks do add to his overall individuality for sure. And my husband is kind of smitten. Hee.

And for a few shots not included in his thread:
A good look at his cute widdle face

And full frontal (the toddler friendly kind)

I already have Poppet #3 begging to be made, but I'm waiting for eyes to arrive. I'm going to attempt Craftewoman's Elinore pattern in order to make Yoruichi from Bleach. Heeee.

Speaking of Bleach, wasn't there rumors of an Ichigo in the works at one point? Whatever happened with that?

And Howl? The teasers had me squealing (love the painted eyes). Is he finished? Clothed?

Poppet number two took a small detour from the original pattern, but I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted going in, particularly because he was meant to be birthday present for my two-year-old.

"Hello!" he says. He likes meeting new people, not unlike a real puppy!

Because he's stuffed so stiffly, he's quite posable, which led to much enjoyment on my husband's end as he took pictures.

How did Little One respond?
There was a moment when he first saw the puppy when his face lit up. Priceless.

And then he moved on. Quickly. Broke Puppy's heart.

"Love Me!"

Aw, it's ok. Daddy loves you.

"See you later!"
