1  EUROPE / SCANDINAVIAN/NORDIC / helsinki in short on: May 09, 2007 09:01:58 AM

in june I will have an felting workshop with Elina Saari and after that I will stay in Helsinki for two days.

Can anyone of you recommend me an attractive accomodation (I will travel by train/bus/feet with enough luggage to carry *g*)?

What is a 'must' there to have seen or been?  Is there an one-and-only-restaurant? A crafter-buyer-Eldorado? For my sightseeing time ist limited I would gladly rely upon your suggestions?

Thank you already now; I hope you will have many information and tips for me.

Best regards

Hi, do you still need any suggestion?

Perhaps you could create a sort of spike board (I hope that is the right english expression) an leave a reproduktion by putting it on your face.

OR you could moisten your paper, put it on your face an have a mouldet paperface when it is dry again. Additionally you could use some plaster. You could also use felt, wool or similar fibers that you could fix or sew on the paper.

Or do you look for some different colours? Try spices, grindet stones, thickend KoolAid, coloured soaps or candles, dying plants, at least your blood  Shocked ... perhaps you like to work with sand that glues on protein .. ist wallpaper-paste forbidden?

Please tell us how you impressed your professor.
