1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! on: July 17, 2010 12:46:33 PM
My first ink is a blue ribbon, the color of child abuse prevention. I designed the ribbon myself, and the two other people I went with got the same design! It's crazy knowing other people have my sketch on their bodies forever.

Anyway, here it is being worked on:

And here it is all healed up!

It's located on my left hip bone, because while I'm proud of my status as a 10 year survivor, sometimes I don't feel like advertising it. My bathing suit covers it perfectly, so even at the beach it's protected from the sun.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hula Hoop Wreath! on: March 29, 2010 12:49:58 AM
Thank you everyone! Yes, I do have the most adorable corner! I just got cherry blossom branches (fake) in a big pink vase, and some little bumble bee ornaments to boot! Thanks so much for commenting!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Hula Hoop Wreath! on: March 27, 2010 07:39:59 PM
We (meaning the folks at my job) have all moved into a fabulous new building. And to celebrate, I decided to add some of myself to my new cubicle workspace. Therefore, I present to you, the hula hooping wreath!

Thanks for looking!
4  Florida / Florida: Central / Re: Are there any Central FL. Craft Fairs? on: November 29, 2009 02:20:37 AM
There's also Atomic Holiday Bazaar, a really great event each December at the Municipal Auditorium.

I have a table this year, and I have attended in years past. It's a lot of fun, and has really great vendors.
5  Florida / Florida: Central / Re: Bradenton/Sarasota area shops? on: November 29, 2009 02:16:33 AM
Sadly, there isn't really anything besides the big box stores. The smaller craft shops were driven out by Walmart and Michaels a few years ago.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for posting this. I work for a Child Abuse Prevention/Intervention/Treatment organization, and you did a spectacular job! We are constantly saying how we need to be more pervasive in our efforts, and you have accomplished that seamlessly. I always wish to show people just what Child Abuse & Neglect looks like without breaking confidentiality, but we have difficulty in doing so. Thank you for bringing awareness to an issue that effects 3 million children every year, and has a rate 10 times that of cancer. You have revived my confidence that more people care about this epidemic issue. Blessings to you.

8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Question About Virtual Terminal on: October 09, 2009 08:28:57 PM
This is a question pertaining to PayPay's Virtual Terminal:

If I wish to use the Virtual Terminal with my laptop and wifi, can I end the service (or at least pause it) once I have completed everything with that event? I am most likely not going to be doing any more craft fairs until late next year, and I'd like to avoid paying the monthy fee if possible. Also, how do you handle having a signed reciept? Should I get one of the old fashioned impressioners, just to have the signatures or is it worth it to have a small printer hooked up as well?

Thanks!
