1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Saxophone mosaic on: July 21, 2009 05:49:48 PM
As a musician and sibling to an incredible sax player (I'm only mediocre), I think the dark grout looks better. It kind of "ages" the sax so that it looks more sophisticated. Not to mention the lighter grout would've washed out all of the color, if you know what I mean. It would've been way too bright.

I really love this! Now I want to make one for at least one or two of my favorite instruments. Probably Piano and French Horn or something. WAY easier than saxophone, I don't think I have that much patience Smiley
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: Booboo Bunnies on: March 22, 2008 08:07:54 PM
A) Those are adorable! If I had kids I'd make those with them.
B) I'm glad you're school hasn't bought into that PC crap of not having holiday parties.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ear Dooglies on: March 09, 2008 09:09:06 PM
If you wanted to make them for long-wear, I think you could make molds out of the polymer versions and make them out of something that wouldnt' leech. I dont' know if they leech (I dont' think they do), but something like resin maybe?

The Visas ARE awesome. But the Links are WAY better!
Then again I'm a Zelda fanatic, so I'm a little biased.

I like the first one the most, probably because it reminds me of the uniform I wore in highschool Marching band.
I was in the pit too! YAY mallet players!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Cutting down on glasses on: February 25, 2008 02:23:07 AM
My family is the same way. There's two kids, and between the two of us and my parents(they contribute to the mess too) we go through the whole cupboard in two days(because we have an obscene amount of cups and there's only four of us). And it's because we can never find our cups. It's almost impossible to find the cup that we just sat down because they all look the same. I've been trying to find a solution to that problem for ages. Maybe that would help....now if I could find a way to make that work for different sized cups without multiple bands.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: "please make a silly face" on: February 24, 2008 07:28:40 PM
That's awesome. Like someone else said(I'm too tired to go back and figure it out, sorry) the only thing that doesn't quite work is your mouth, it's kind of hard to understand what it is.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Nintendo Hama/Perler on: February 22, 2008 02:45:08 AM
These are awesome.
And it's nice seeing more crafting guys. I hang out with mostly guys, and I'm slowly convincing them to craft.

I especially like Mario, and the Mushrooms, but the Pikachu is gutsy and the tetris is entertaining when bored.
Now i want some more of those things! I havent' used though since I was a kid.
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Magic cards tote *pic heavy* on: February 22, 2008 02:34:21 AM
Wow. I dont' play Magic, but my boyfriend(and actually all of my exes............) do, and I'm sure he'd love it. Along with my best friend, brother, and all 50 or so of my other friends that play magic.
At first I was wondering if you'd found a bunch of common cards he'd never need and used real cards, but you're idea was way more creative(and probably smarter).
Basically, that's just plain awesome.
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Zill Muffler on: February 22, 2008 02:03:59 AM
That's awesome. You know, I'm sure I could make big versions of those cheaper then they cymbal cases that people think you have to make... Cool idea.
