2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Cheesy/Funny Card sayings? on: January 26, 2007 03:00:54 PM
Ooh I just thought of another good one last night.
"You're the boy that I want to keep....even though you fart in your sleep"
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: candy bouquet? on: January 21, 2007 11:10:10 PM
Airheads huh? That sounds like a great idea considering how much my booy likes 'em.  Aleahcim, could you give a little more detail?  Did you actually attach the flower bits to the stem bits? And did they stay fresh being in the air like that?
I always wanted to do a candy bouquet, but the boy is such a chocolate snob, so he makes it tricky. But with fun candy.. hmmm... I especially like the little candy poem, patti.  It's such a cute idea.

I just pulled on the airheads until they became pliable. I rolled them at an angle to become rose shaped. Then I made a stem by rolling one into stem shape. I kind of just mushed them together nicely. I put them in a little vase.
They stayed fresh long enough. It took a while before they were rock hard. Buy a small package and try it out before you invest in a big bag.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Don't be an Ass. on: January 19, 2007 05:55:39 PM
Oooh. That was my "don't be an ass" valentine from last year. My donkey cookie turned out ugly, but it worked out well.
This year I am making hand-drawn valentine's for people at work.
In one I drew myself pooping. It says "You're the shit."
In another drawing I am devouring a heart. It says "I'll eat your heart out valentine"
You could draw a spaceship and write "You've abducted my heart."
For the big breasted girl at work I am making a valentine that says "You put the CUP into cupcake".

I made a bouquet last year out of Air Heads. I just pulled and rolled them into rose shape. I used green airheads for the stems. They do droop though if not cold. My boyfriend loved them.
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Re: Painting/Decorating Crocs? (Painting on Plastic Shoes?) on: December 10, 2006 04:45:46 PM
Actually the shoes aren't plastic, not the genuine ones. They are made out of Croslite. It is a closed celled proprietary resin. The shoes are designed not to have anything stick to them. I'm not sure what kinds of paints would work. Crocs are non-porous. The paint won't soak into the shoes. Also, because of their flexible nature, I would think it would be hard to find a paint that can withhold bending all of the time.
Some people decorate crocs other ways. There is a company who sews theirs. it's at http://roscom.co.il/ But with adding any material to crocs other than croslite, you are compromising its benefits. Crocs are anti-microbial, meaning they resist bacteria. If you ad string to them, they are no longer anti-microbial.
Crocs are cool though. I give you props for trying to make them your own.
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Spill Your Valentine's Ideas Here... I Won't Tell! on: January 16, 2006 06:15:32 AM
It will be my first Valentine's Day with a boy. Here are my ideas.
I'm going to make some sugar cookies. All of them in heart shapes but one. The other one will be a donkey.
I'm going to make a card. I'll attatch the donkey cookie to the front. It will read "Don't be an ass...". On the inside it will say "be my valentine". Bad card, but it captures my sense of humor I guess.
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: 18th birthday box on: August 05, 2005 09:21:42 AM
Or you could mock the things she can do by giving her candy cigarrettes, fake tattoes, etc and say that now that she is old enough it doesnt mean she cant enjoy the things she used to. Or say that now that she is 18 she can buy her own real cigarrettes, or get her won tattooes.

A countdown for her 21st birthday. People countdown to their 18th birthday because they think it is so exciting thinking of all of the things they can do. I should know, 8 days left until my 18th birthday. But then after you are 18 for a while you can't wait until you are 21.
You could just give her a calendar with a number written on each day of how many days left until she is 21. Or you could make her a pull off calendar, where each day that passes she rips off the page that says 1095 or whatever. That would be a LOT of work though to make the last one.
