Here is Summer. Those little birds were really hard for me.

How do you take a closer picture without the crazy lines in it??  Roll Eyes

112  Dad's Birthday Tied Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by SugarySweet on: June 27, 2007 01:24:25 PM
My Dad's birthday is on Thursday. I am leaving and will be there on Friday. Here's the blanket I made for him.  I tied it instead of hand quilting.

These are not quilted, but I'm not sure where else to put them. So I'll add them here.

Here's a blanket I made the edging for and a pillowcase I made for my nephew. The yellow says caution all over it like a yellow tape you would see for construction.

113  Tote Backpacks in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by SugarySweet on: June 23, 2007 01:39:21 PM
Here's the backpacks I made. The pink one I finished last night and will mail it out on Monday for our 5 years old niece who loves pink and purple.

The black and white one is for my nephew. He's here visiting & got to pick his fabric. I made it a few weeks ago.

I saw a tutorial here and realized it's very similair to the small drawstring bags I make. So I made a large version of my lined bag and used her instructions to add the strap.  I added a pocket on the outside and made the strap out of matching fabric.

Here's a link to the tutorial.

114  My First Embroidery in about 25 years. in Needlework: Completed Projects by SugarySweet on: June 21, 2007 08:36:56 AM
I did it.  Grin

Thanks to everyone that helped me figure out how to get the image on the fabric.

I wanted to embroider something I have always liked and decided this would be perfect to hang in my computer room. I have always loved Bewitched. I wish the moon was a perfect circle, but...it happens.

115  Curling Iron/Straightener Cozy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by SugarySweet on: June 13, 2007 03:23:45 PM
We are going to take my nephew home at the end of the month. We will be there for 10 days.

I made a curling iron/straightener cozy for my daughter and myself. She will be seeing lots of old friends. That way she can spend the night and put the straightener right back in her bag without forgetting to pack it back up. (I hope anyway)  Wink

I made mine a double cozy. The pocket on the outside is for the cords.
The flash seems to make the pictures dull.  Mine is hot pick and bright lime green.

116  Re: A Bag a Month Craftalong? in Craftalongs by SugarySweet on: June 09, 2007 09:27:05 PM
I finished my nephews backpack today.

I used this tutorial.

I realized it's a lot like the small drawstring bags I've been making for years. So I made a bigger version of my bag and used her instructions to add the straps.  It's lined with the skull fabric and has a large pocket on the front.

If I got this right, the picture should be below.  Cheesy
