1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 8 Gallery on: September 29, 2008 06:01:07 AM
kstaron scared the *@#! out of me when she told me that she'd already sent out, but apparently her baby hada great nap week and she got tons of work done early. And I'm talking tons! Unfortuately, a couple of things were broken in transit, but i glued them together as well as I could.

Here you can see the pretty altar cloth, knitted scarf, handmade blue candles, pentacle mirror and goblet, all spider themed! Also are the remains of a candle holder (imagine the same glass as the goblet, though inverted with the wood piece on top) and a reglued incense holder. Idon't know where the original spider was, but he sits there know. Grin

Next is a wisdom bracelet that came in a cute little goddess bag, an exotic smelling dream pillow, and a decorated tin covered in my favourite artist.

Sorry about the fuzziness, but inside the tin were these great little fridge magnets, each one a face from one of Moorehouse's paintings.Yeah!

Here you see the two wand she sent, one of gifted maple, the other of paper. My DH likes the maple so much he's trying to steal it from me! The largest of the boxes contains an Egyptian themed Tarot deck.

The medium box contained beaded hairpins, origami earrings and a necklace that my eldest daughter has absconded with.

And last but not least, beaded earrings and matching stitch markers...oops! There was also a flowered hair clip that my second girl has run off with, before i could get a pic!

kstaron, I've been spoiled! Thank you!
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The magical myths and long lost legends gallery! on: September 29, 2008 05:41:36 AM
I'm soooo happy! I just received my wonderfull gifts this week and I just need to share!

This is the main body of my package. Two handbound goddess myths, those of Demeter and Ishtar, a small handmade prayer book, a photo album filled with photos of Greece and a beautiful poppet I've named for Hera, goddess of marriage and childbirth.
Then in this little pencil case were some wonderful soaps, wood bead earrings, a dainty little seed bead bracelet (which fits me perfectly!) and an amazing tree of life pendant!

Thanks to my swap partner!

I REALLY want to make my costume this year, but I'm still at the "what the heck am I going to do?" stage. And it's already September! This is so not good!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: From the dark woods, doll dress. Several pics on: September 09, 2008 04:52:57 AM
It looks wonderful! My first thought when I saw it was that the frayed edges make it look like the topis actually feathers (course, that could just mean that I need my eyes checked Grin). And seasonal depression can get the best of anyone. If I didn't force myself to go to work to keep a roof over my head, I'd have spent the entire summer on the couch with a blanket over my head so I wouldn't have to look at the rain.
