I need one inch buttons - and don't ness. have the time to press them all by myself... anyone have a cheap website they use for tees or buttons... that look good!
I am a musician and want to give buttons out for free - so they need to be cheap!

so, i am new to so cal - but a long long long time user of craftster - i kinda dropped off the craftster chart for a few months... but - i am back!

i would like to start getting together a few crafty peeps in the valley to do some fun stuff

i think it would be best to start out by meeting at a coffee shop to knit
(my roommates are both knitters and i think i could lure them to come - if we were knitting) PLUS - I need help - i see all the great patterns debbie stoller is giving us and well haven't a clue how i would do any of that...

I have to plug Binders - they are having a huge sale and demos all weekend because of the grand opening of the new location (in disco kroger shopping center in buckhead)... My family is good friends with the owner and I went to the opening party last night - it really is a wonderful store and they have so much great stuff --- they even have a large gallery space ... so anyway - at least go check it out and take advantage of the sale!

My brother and grandmother share the same b'day so i made them similar gifts to suit their own tastes -

my brother got a picture frame that i bought at michael's for $.99 that i painted shades of blue and I bought little beer bottles and such that already had adhesive strips on them to decorate the frame

my grandmother got the same frame ($.99) then i painted it greenish yellow and added little mirror tiles with E6000 --

and voila!!!

I used to live in LA - I have lived in Santa Monica (down the street from the promanade)and Hollywood (franklin & whitley)

I am thinking of packing up shop and moving back i dont my way around that great

one of my old friends is starting grad school in the fall in Bell Air --- so she wants a place in the valley...near there and wants me to come with - i dont mind living close to her school in SM though either --- she is right next to the Getty at the UJ

i dont have a degree and wouldn't want to wait tables - i wouldn't be againist going back to school - or even waiting tables if i had to however thats obviously no one's first choice

my real questions are --
I need a basic - a crafty girls guide to LA

where to work - where to shop - where to live

I used to act - i am not againist doing it again and would really enjoy it - however i do not enjoy the competetion there... i also sing - i create - and love the entertainment/art/film/theatre/dance/music industry and would love to do something i love in one of those fields - does anyone own a company or know of any possible openings coming up in the next few months? I also work full time now doing web design - but dont think i would want to work in-house again...

i guess thats all - any info is appreciated - its a big city and it's nice to feel welcome ---
