1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / A tiny toddler witchy costume! on: November 01, 2013 12:54:33 PM
While shopping at the Dollar Tree for craft supplies and supplies for my baby shower, I stumbled upon the cutest orange lace witch hat and pom pom broom, which prompted me to create my toddler's Halloween costume!

I made the skirt from fabric my friend gifted me.  It's a three colored, three tiered skirt with an elastic waist.  The elastic was salvaged from a pair of shorts she no longer wore.

Her apron is made from some black fabric I had laying around from a previous project.  And her shirt is a long sleeved black shirt she got last year and is almost too big for.  Her shoes were bought by grandma for a wedding we recently attended.

Total cost of the costume was $3.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Halloween Headband for Baby on: September 16, 2012 12:24:22 PM
This Halloween will by my baby's first Halloween and I am so excited!  I've picked out her outfit for pictures, haven't quite decided on a costume (I will most likely be making it) but decided to make her a headband to go with the picture outfit!

After I made this one I have decided that I will be making LOADS more! Cheesy
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Re: My collection of handcarved stamps! on: August 06, 2012 09:18:59 PM
Good job!  I haven't tried stamp carving yet but it seems difficult. Smiley
It takes patience and a steady hand, both of which I fought to maintain!  Cheesy

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Little bitty baby hats. on: July 12, 2012 06:51:59 PM
I was invited to have a table at my University's Cardinal Market Place in August, and all I have been making recently is things for the little members of the household.  I decided to crochet some little hats, and used my little one as a model.

They're really simple double crochet hats and fit her well, but have quite a bit of stretch to them.
What do you guys think?
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Onesie Quilt for a Friend on: June 16, 2012 06:18:14 PM
A friend of mine commissioned me to make her a onesie quilt, using some of her and her husband's favorite onesies.

The quilt consists of 63 squares, 4 of which are machine quilted to the size of the others, and the center is the embroidered onesie little one came home in.
I had a LOT of fun making this and furthered my desire to make one for my little girl.

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hooo's having a baby? on: June 11, 2012 11:55:04 PM
A friend of mine is having a little boy, and being the crafty mama that I am (plus loving all the cute little things I can make) I whipped this up for him and his lady.

(I was told their theme was blue and green owls. :3)
