Ok, I'll try to explain this.  I don't know if it will make sense.  Here goes.

If you want to put 2 handles on you put your outside piece RSU, then one handle on top of that where you want it, then the zipper RSD on top of that and then the lining RSD on top of that.  Pin them all together, sew and flip around and repeat for the other side.  Does that make sense?

All are beautiful.  I especially like the first one...all of my favorite fall colors.
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where to buy question on: July 15, 2007 12:12:09 PM
No.  I'm pretty sure they don't carry any designer fabrics.  Actually, I've seen a few Alexander Henry in their novelty, skulls and such, but never Heather Bailey.  If you have a quilting fabric shop in your area, you might try them.  I have 2 near me and they get a lot of the designer fabrics.  Or try ebay.  I've purchased quite a few from there.

Good luck.

JuliaAnn,
Did you make that purse from a pattern? I love the shape.

Thanks

Thanks.
I think it's just the basic Jordy and I just changed up the measurements.  If you would like to know the dimensions, I can see if I can find my pattern.  Let me know.

I've made quite a few bags with a ribbon stripe like that and I have done exactly what you said...sew the bottom to the top and then put your ribbon over the seam and top stitch along the top and bottom edges of the ribbon.  I usually measure down from the top of the bag as I'm pinning on the ribbon to make sure I get it straight.  Here is one that I have made like that:

Good luck.
7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hi! I'm new and have a question about sewing fusible fleece on: July 14, 2007 06:47:43 PM
I agree.  I use it for every purse I make and I have never had any problems.  Definitely sounds like a tension problem so just get some scraps and mess around with it until you get it right.  Good Luck!

Great design.  I love all the pockets.  The ones on the outside are great how they open up.  Awesome pattern!

They're beautiful.  They look very finished and professional.  Love the fabrics.

It looks great.  I too love the cards slots at an angle.  It really gives it a different look.  Happy sewing!!
