11  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Starry curtains on: July 23, 2004 08:22:32 PM
I love glow in the dark stars and they are all over my walls. But at night when I turn off the lights there is a big blank spot where my curtains are. So I devised a way to put stars on my curtains, without it being permanent(for when I get over my star phase). It's pretty simple and self explanatory so I figured there was no need for pics.

1. Have plastic Glow in the Dark stars, safety pins, and glue gun ready.
2. Put hot glue on back of star in the center.
3. Quickly put the non pointy side of the safety pin onto the star. Make sure the cap part of the safety pin isn't in the glue.
4. Let dry.
5. Attach stars to curtain using the safety pin on the back.

This looks best in the day time with a solid color curtain. Feel free to decorate your curtains with other things too: silk flowers, playing cards, buttons... whatever. I hope I helped!
12  Florida / Florida: Central / any classes in st. petersburg? on: July 18, 2004 06:10:18 PM
Does anyone know of any good sewing classes offered in St. Pete? I sew with a machine but I am looking for a class where I can improve my skills, especially with making clothing. I would prefer a class close to the south side but it doesn't matter that much. thanks so much!
