here's the link: http://www.kategilbert.com/ms_gifted.html

You're actually only supposed to join the thumb with crochet and seam the hands, but I got caught up in the crochet spirit:)
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Felted slippers (I <3 bev galeskas!) on: December 25, 2008 09:29:56 AM
2 pairs of felted slippers -

1) Christmas gift for the pops - these were a bit of a frustrating knit but I love how they turned out!

2) Christmas gift for me - this is my fave "fun-fur" project ever!

Both are from "Felted Knits" by Bev Galeskas.

my new holiday set - quick to knit and fun to wear!  the crazy part is that these mittens were knit flat, and then joined with a single crochet.  way simple.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: kitty cat wrap on: November 23, 2008 12:28:35 PM
My cat would have this off and be attempting to disembowel it in under five seconds...! I've seen it happen before - not a pretty sight. Undecided

I've always envied people who had pets who would wear stuff, and your cat's lucky indeed - the sweater is so cute!! Grin Where did the sleeves come from in the last two pictures?

I picked up around the armholes with some softee chunky and knit the arms in the round on double points.  Ended up fitting her better without the arms so they've been frogged.

lol!  thanks for the kudos.  the sweater lasted all of 10 seconds, she army crawled right out of it after I snapped some quick pics.  I still don't think she has forgiven me, but she must put it on one last time for holiday photos.

Knit a lovely little sweater for my precious kitty - doesn't she look thrilled?

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitting Fun. . . . on: June 12, 2008 06:28:15 AM
I haven't posted on Craftster in ages - here are pics of some of my recent knitting projects:

Here are some baby Uggs I made from a Knitty Gritty pattern for a baby shower.  I made a matching felted yoda hat which didn't felt up quite as much as I would have liked.

Cable armwarmers out of Caron Simply Soft to go with one of those trendy elbow length coat.

Twinkle's Karate Sweater out of double-stranded Bernat Softee Chunky.  Unfortunately, I did not read the correct needle size and used the standed 19's, so its a bit small.

Simple scarflette out of double-stranded Caron Simply Soft for a friend's birthday present.

This was a fabulous stash buster, and a great Christmas present for my mom.

Enjoy!  Many hours of fun knitting.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help with wedding dress recon. . . . . on: March 02, 2008 05:39:25 AM
I'm a bride on a budget looking for a unique wedding dress - something classic with a hint of a modern twist.  This dress came FREE from freecycle (can't beat free!) but is a few sizes too big and I'd like to make it a little more current.  The rose lace is absolutely gorgeous!

Here's some pics:

I'm going to pick it up today, but looking at the pics I'm not quite sure what to do with it besides shorten the sleeves and add a sash:

Anyone have some amazing suggestions?  I really love the old hollywood glam style to get us started in a direction, but am open to anything.  Perhaps I am in over my head here.  HELP:)

Two super-cute Twinkle sweaters I'm dying to make, because there is no way I can afford them!

Love the basket-weave cable:
