1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: uncompleted costume: blue meanie from yellow submarine! on: October 31, 2012 04:49:44 PM
OOPS yeah i totally did! it came out pretty cool. i didn't use face paint. and had no time for the evil glove purse :/ but it was fun to wear anyway! i stuffed the dress with mostly plastic bags.

the boots got trashed too because i didn't prep them for paint, just sprayed them, and by the end of the night it all came off in big, stretchy sheets because they were vinyl.

i love the effect you got using bleach and dyes! i wonder if i could achieve something similar using just a black tee and bleach? i've never dyed before, or bleached a whole garment before. i love what you did though!
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / daft punk helmets t-shirt :D on: March 26, 2011 09:20:59 AM
here is a shirt i made from a stencil of daft punk's helmets from their alive tour. i think it came out really cool! unfortunately the stencil bled a little, but i still like it.

i mixed red and orange to try and make the color of the LED lights. please let me know what you think!

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / drawstring pouch with pockets for jewelry on: December 22, 2010 07:23:22 AM
hello all! i made 4 of these for presents. all the fabric is reclaimed but i only have a before picture of the velvet. it was my halloween costume. the paisley inside fabric is from a scarf, the dark red satin-ish material is from a sheet set. the plastic circles for the base were cut from some packaging.

there are 8 pockets inside

i was surprised that these fabrics matched so well. they've been in my stash for a while.

thanks for looking! please comment Smiley
