1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Scrapbook Cookbook Swap on: September 30, 2011 03:31:12 PM
The scrapbook cookbook swap was my brainchild.  An awesome swap that apparently went three rounds.  I was in the first and dont remember there even being two more after that!!!  Kinda sacrilegious lol  So with that said I would love to get another round going.  The creativity in these rounds was astounding!!!  Im so happy the swap idea took off as well as it did!!

We created a cookbook by means of scrapbooking (I believe there were ten recipes included)
One crafted item that was cooking related
One purchased cookbook or cooking magazine (used or new)
Any extras like spices or such

Would love to do another one!!  These are so much fun!!  I will be honest.  I cant organize it.  Im just to much of a scatterbrain to do it.  The other two ladies were so great about it I would never measure up!!  Is there anyone willing.   All of the info from the other two swaps are available and im sure they wouldnt mind a copy and paste of the info if you asked them (or heck maybe one of them would be willing to host another round?Huh?)

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Victorian inspired bloomers on: June 29, 2010 10:33:13 AM
I made these a few days ago!!  They remind me of a Victorian Circus perfomer!!  They came out so cute!! They are meant to be worn under skirts as was done back they were back in the day, however today many wear them as pajamas, lounging pants because they are so roomy and comfortable or the more risque and daring wear them out as it.

I hope you like them as much as I

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gothic/Punk inspired apron on: May 13, 2009 10:53:30 AM
I made this adorable apron a couple of days ago.  Inspired by a photo I created my own pattern and sewed it up!!

Im really proud of this!!  I used Alexander Henry Skull Bandanna fabric along with black fabric with small white polka dots!!  It has to deep pockets on the sides and a long ties which are angled at the ends!!

Apron front

Apron back  I love the big wide bow in the back!!

 Thank you for looking!!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Some projects ive done!! Very Pic Obese!! on: January 16, 2009 01:15:08 PM
I havent posted any photos of my projects on here in over a year and thought I would show some of my favorite items ive made over the past year or so!!  I will try to include pattern companies and such if I remember them.

First is a velvet jacket I made in early December 2008.  I had already worn it so it looks a bit wrinkled Grin

The following are all from Simplicity

3837 knit top I didnt have to finish the bottoms.  Gotta love that lol

3631 Jacket (its still missing the buttons. Im trying to figure out what to do as my machine wont make buttonholes over 1")

2951 Dress (this one came out way way too small in the bust area.  Shocked  Think of Dolly Parton trying to wear Twiggys dress........And im not anywear near as big as Dolly lol)

4291 made of a pretty rayon.  I dont wear this often.  Not sure why as I really like it!!

3739 I really liked this dress but im too busty (a high b cup!!) for this one.  Sad cause I really liked it

This one is Butterick 4832.  Kind of a vintage vibe to it.  I love the pleats!!

Butterick 4822 a cute purse that I made up

Well thats all of them for now!!  I hope you liked them!!  Will try to post more often!!

7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / New purse I made on: October 23, 2008 02:41:04 PM
I made this purse inspired by a picture I saw!!  I really like it and am considering making more for my esty shop.  I wanted to see what you thought about it.  Ideas for improvements would be welcomed as well as what you would like to see in a purse such as this!!  Also I was wondering what you think a fair selling price might be!!

I didnt get a photo of the inside but there is a lined pocket as well.  Magnetic snap closure and the ribbon you see on the side is my key latch (I can even leave my keys on it and place it right in the ingintion which helps prevent me from locking my keys in the car!!  Which sadly ive done one too many times)

Thanks for looking!!

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Retro Toy Swap on: July 27, 2008 05:12:10 PM
I was looking at an old fashioned style doll that I made and thought wouldnt it be cool to have a retro style toy swap.  This could be toys sewn from older patterns or perhaps crafted (woodmaking, knitted, crocheted ect).  You wouldnt need children really to join and you could recieve for yourself or for a special little one (or even a child in need of cheering up!!)

Anyone interested and wish to implore on the idea more??  Im thinking one large and few smalls to go with it.
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / His and Hers swap!! on: May 29, 2008 06:08:21 PM
I had this idea.  A his and hers swap.  Ok take me and hubby for instance.  I love Victorian and he loves Asian.  You would take an item (and for lack of a better example we will use a tote).  You would make an asian style tote for him and a victorian tote for me. Or robes, slippers ect.  Hopefully this makes sense and you get the idea!!  Since we would be making two things we could keep this as mediums and perhaps a small.  This would be fun to give the guys (or gals for the male swappers) a chance to get something in the mail too.  I know my husband has seen some of the great things I have gotten and said "Perhaps I should start swapping lol!!

Feel free to offer your ideas too !!!  Thats what makes an awesome swap!!
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Cookbook Swap on: February 28, 2008 05:44:18 PM
Heres an idea!!  What if we made up a list of cookbooks (with a price limit of course say $15) of 5 titles that we would like. Titles that can be easily located at bookstores such as waldenbooks, barnes and nobles, borders ect.  Partner chooses one book and crafts an item to go with it.  Something cooking/kitchen related like potholders, oven mitts, ect.

This idea can of course be fine tuned if there is interest!!
