1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / repainting garden statue on: September 16, 2009 01:51:16 PM
My grandmother recently acquired an old statue of snow white for our backyard. The paint it really chipped and I want to repaint it. My only problem is that I'm not quite sure what kind of paint to use. I have tons of acrylic paint but i don't know how that will stay on stone. Any suggestions?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / intarsia knitting help por favor? on: October 22, 2008 10:04:35 AM
I've never done intarsia knitting before and i am up to the challenge. I have a few quick questions for starting though. I want to make a small black dice bag with some kind of symbol on it. First I swear i stumbled upon a computer program where you can make a intarsia chart and print it out somewhere in the deep depths of the internets. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for making charts or whatever. Any type of suggestions for intarsia knitting will help. Thanks.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Quick question about gauge on: October 02, 2008 02:01:15 PM
When a gauge on a pattern says 25 sts/36 rows = 4 inches. Does mean you should have 25 sts in the entire 4 inches? OR does that mean you should have 25 sts per inch. I've been making swatches for the Kitty Hat from Debby Stoller's Stitch 'n Bitch book but I can't get the right gauge and it's really frustrating me. I think it might also be a crappy yarn I've been working with. Could the fact that I knitting kind of tight effect the fact that I can't get the right gauge. Please help before I pull my hair out. grrrrr  Angry Thanks!
4  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Bioshock Little Sister dress on: May 18, 2008 06:46:28 PM
I've been on this site for a while but I haven't actually posted anything before.
This is a costume from the video game Bioshock of the Little Sister. I wore this costume this weekend at Acen (Anime Central) an Anime Convention. Sorry for the blurriness of the first two images.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / n00b siticher on: February 08, 2008 11:54:33 AM
Hi everyone. I just picked an embroidery kit and excited to get started today. I have a few questions for some veteran stitchers. What are good and/or bad fabrics to embroider on? I have tons of white pillows cases i plan on embellishing. What about fleece?? Cotton T-shirts? Any tips or tricks or pieces of advice anyone can give would be awesome! Thanx!   Cheesy
