1  U.K. AND IRELAND / IRELAND / Yarn Shops (or anything craft related really!) in Ireland? on: November 12, 2005 03:15:10 AM
Hi,

I'm going to be hitting the road next month and visiting Belfast, Limerick and Dublin.

Anyone know of any good yarn shops I could visit? Although knitting is my main hobby, I love pretty much anything crafty!

Thanks

2  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / blank tote bags? on: March 20, 2005 05:30:24 AM
Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy blank tote bags from in London, or online? I'd like to stencil my own design onto them and don't have a sewing machine (yet) otherwise I'd attempt to make my own!

Thanks

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Kureyon Husband Scarf! on: January 29, 2005 11:39:04 AM
Hello All,

I've started a scarf for my darling husband. It's far from finished (even though my arms ache from knitting all day!), but I'm just so pleased with it that I had to share it with y'all.

Here's a link to a (large) picture:

It's made from Noro Kureyon yarn, in shade 116 (my husband chose it), and I used the Diagonal Rib pattern on About - here's a link:

Hopefully I'll finish it before the winter is over!

NOTE: I've now finished this scarf, here's a (large) picture of the finished product!

Boy did that Noro need fabric softener....
4  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Anyone In Norwich? on: January 26, 2005 05:07:51 AM
I'm going to be moving there in April - as work has made me and my husband redundant! (we work together).

Just wondering if there's any SnB's, or yarn shops apart from John Lewis...

5  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Dick N Dom in Da Bungalow! on: January 08, 2005 02:49:12 PM
I know this isn't craft related, but did anyone watch Dick N Dom this morning? I was on it with my husband and a group of good friends. We got to throw Creamy Muck Muck (custard) at the kids and eachother whilst they raced around the bungalow!

6  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Diamante/rhinestone setting tool to buy in London? on: January 07, 2005 03:29:21 AM
Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a UK based website, or shop in London that sells diamante setting tools, like a bedazzler? I've seen them for sale on ebay but they're in the US and i always seem to get charged loads of money by customs!

Thanks,

7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Tea Cozy from SnBN! on: December 05, 2004 09:44:56 AM
Here's a link to my Tea Cozy (it's such a huge picture that I thought a link would be best):

I embroidered it with "Yummy Tea" using R2 Sparkle after knitting it all in one colour.

It will keep my Earl Grey hot!

8  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / My Marsupial Tote! on: November 19, 2004 05:10:15 PM
Hi!

I am so pleased that this marsupial tote worked - the last time i attempted this bag, it went so wrong. I had only just started knitting then and could not get my head round the Right Twist.

The pictures pretty hooge, but here's a link to it:

I'm in London so couldn't get hold of the yarn called for, but Rowan Magpie works just fine and is now very cheap because it's discontinued!

I can't wait for the new SnB nation - hopefully Amazon will get round to dispatching it some time soon.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My First Proper Bag! on: September 22, 2004 02:00:16 PM
Hi!

I've been admiring everyone's work for some time now and have finally figured out how to post pistures - so here's my first proper bag! It's from the Rowan Ribbon Twist Collection.

Here's a picture (I hope!). It was taken with my mobile phone so it's not too clear:
