1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: walmart bamboo needles on: September 06, 2008 06:49:41 PM
Are they the Boye bamboo needles?  I bought some of those a few weeks ago and had issues with 3 of the 5 dpns splitting on one end.  I emailed the company and was in contact with an amazing representative and she told me to send them to her and she would have them checked out and send me some replacements.  I'm (not so) patiently awaiting my replacements so I can finish the hat i am working on.  I am so impressed with their customer service, she emailed me back in less than 2 hours!

I am currently using the same color for Newfie mitts,

I have used chocolate brown (looks great!) and a teal blue, also red heart kids.

It was 50 cents a skein, I couldn't resist!

Does anyone know of a tutorial online that I could use to learn how to do 2 mittens at once?  Thanks

I've searched through the forum, but I didn't see anything there to help me with this, so I figured that  I would ask my lovely knitting friends.
How the heck to I knit 2 mittens at the same time on 2 circular needles?  I tend to have 2nd mitten syndrome 99% of the time, and I want to learn how to do them both at the same time.  I know you can with socks (couldn't find a tutorial for mittens, only socks that are top up, I want to make mittens that start at the cuff), so I was wondering if you could help me by pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance to anyone and everyone that can help!

Thanks everyone!  I can't wait for everyone to see this stuff at the shower.  The blanket is just a crochet Granny Square and it is made with Lion Brand Baby Soft in Pistachio and some random white baby yarn I had in my stash.  The nursery is the green and chocolate brown, it is so cute, but I wanted to break it up with a little bit of white.

The purple hat is my favorite one too!!

Thanks!  I hope Melissa loves it just as much as I do Smiley  I can't wait to see baby Kennedy in all of it!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / New bib for la petite Acadienne on: June 02, 2008 03:18:53 PM
Ok, so my french sucks, but I think the bib turned out awesome!  My boyfriend's cousin is due in July and the baby shower is this weekend.  I can't wait for all their family to see this bib, it's going to be so fun!  I also added the rest of the gifts in the knitting section ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249489.0 )

Comments and criticisms welcome, as always!

Yup, thats how I am justifying all of the time that I have spent knitting in the last few weeks!  My BF's cousin is having a little girl due on July 5th, and the baby shower is this Saturday and I have been getting ready for at least the last month.
I bought Itty-Bitty hats for one hat in particular, but ended up making 3 from the book...just for starters of course!
There are 4 hats, 3 sets of booties and 1 blanket.  I would love to hear comments/criticisms Smiley  Thanks for looking!
