craftychef- I've been trying to recreate that banner design, but apparently I'm not nearly creative enough, would you be willing to send me the design? I can't pay you, but I could make something for you - some washcloths or something

CraftyChef - that is amazing! I like the sherberty colors because those are the colors of most of the materials I work with, but I love the more monotone look of the all over purple, awesome! And I agree about the cotton, I like the graphic itself, but it didn't really fit right on top of the patchwork.

How about these colors with the new tagline?

edit:
and how is this for a new banner?

I'm working on my crafty business and trying to revamp the banner for my website/etsy store/blog. My current banner looks like this:

I'm thinking of keeping everything except the tagline, but would take suggestions if anyone doesn't like the background, cotton bole, lettering or anything.

The tagline I was thinking of going with is:
OrganicPatchwork.com (or leave off the .com?)
         Life's a Patchwork

Anyone like that?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / sock yarn baby set on: February 06, 2011 08:40:35 AM
I'm expecting my first baby in 10 weeks and I've been trying to knit up some things for my little one. And I've fallen in love with sock yarn, not really sure why but I just love it. So I've made a few hats and then I decided to try some mittens so the little bugger won't scratch himself and then I had some yarn left so I tried some booties and came up with this cute little set all made from one skein of Patons Kroy FX in Cadet Colors.

the booties are the only thing made from a pattern and I altered the pattern quite a bit, but here's where I found it http://sockpixie.blogspot.com/2008/01/solution-to-sock-knitters-dilemma-magic.html

This is coming out completely awesome! And a total inspiration to me. DH and I are expecting our first son in April and we want to do a Mario themed nursery.
Here's what we're thinking of for the walls - You can make those vinyl stick-on wall decals using contact paper. I was thinking of getting either some white or clear and then drawing different Marios and other characters and things onto the contact paper with sharpies and sticking them up. From what I've read, it goes on easy and comes off clean so it's perfect for a rental place where you can't paint.
I LOVE your trashcan idea, please let us know if you figure out how to make the paint work. I'm thinking I could make an actual trash can and a taller one as a hamper.

Love it! DH and I are expecting our first son in April '11 and we're doing a Mario theme, too. I'm just gather ideas at this stage of what to make for him, and this is a cute one!
