1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Helmet Hat Pattern? on: January 22, 2008 04:45:54 AM
I'm searching for a hat pattern that looks like a helmet, by that I mean a regular hat with ear flaps that are one piece, knit together around the back of the hat, similar to how a football helmet looks. I want to make a football helmet hat for the Superbowl. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Awesome job.... even if it was a mistake! I love the recycle stitching on it! It gives it real character!

Excellent job! I'm 38 and I'm still a Princess, albeit one that wears pink chucks or pink work boots, but a Princess non the less. Oh, and I've handed in my tiara for a bunch of crazy hats that embarrass my children. You are an amazing big sister and I am sure that your lil sis appreciates it! Hooray for you!

Great quilt! Will definetly bring some cheer to your face when you're feeling blue!

AWESOME!!! Brings back lots of memories! You did a great job! Did you know that the Amish purposely put a mistake in their quilts? The ladies in my quilting group just call our mistakes our Amish part of the quilt! Great job!

Well, now I know what I will be making for my son for Christmas this year. He happened to come down the stairs while I was looking at the pics, and it was all over. He has to have one!

It's awesome!!!!

Here is the link to a picture of my bear amigurumi.

I used Red Heart Plush yarn and a pattern from a book
that I had. I decided to put an Irish hat on him for St.
Patty's Day.

Hope the link works.

I finally printed out all of the patterns and I am almost ready to get started on them! I just need to get off from work this morning. Since it's snowing here now, and we are expecting 2 feet of snow this weekend, it seems like a good time to stay inside and whip up some amis! They are addicting, aren't they?
