Aw, she's such a sweet little fairy. Great job with all that tulle!

For some reason I feel compelled to toss in my two cents.  The photos have obviously been altered at least to protect the identities of some people (unless those people beside the original poster both suffer from some awful blurry face birth defect Wink ) Regardless of my opinion or whether the photos were doctored or not though, this isn't a photography contest, and this isn't a body makeup contest.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but since she didn't do the airbrushing herself, it's not really part of the DIY, right? We are looking at the costume she made (the leather pieces), which look unaltered to me when I look at the photos.  I'll be deciding where to vote based on the effort and skill put into crafting a costume and not on photography or retouching skills.

anyway, to katastrophicallykat, I think you look lovely, good luck in the challenge.
14  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: 10 Minute Swap round 2 Gallery on: October 11, 2010 12:08:49 PM
Wow! so many great little things sent and received in this swap! I'm so happy to be a part of it.

I received my lovely package from grimmscreed this weekend! I love my little items, so cute!
First are these sweet little earrings:

I love the little green flowers, and they have just a hint of sparkle to them. I'm wearing them now.
The fab Grimscreed also made me a cozy for my coffee cup. I have a ceramic version of the classic disposable cup that I carry all over town.  Now it will be sporting this sweet cozy.

I love squirrels, I love the color green, and I love big funky buttons, so this is just perfect for me!
HEre's an action shot:

fits like a glove!

Thanks so much!
Laupre

Best wishes for your DH, Lylacfey!
I'm almost done with my item for grimscreed, but I've got some decisions to make.  It's just as bad to have too many materials I want to use as it is when I'm having a hard time finding anything I want to use. Smiley I'm sitting here with a pile of supplies that could never all fit into just this one project, but they all go together so well. I'm sure once I decide on that the rest will come together though, and I am pretty excited about what I've got so far!
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bike Basket Bag on: March 16, 2010 09:25:38 AM
Congratulations on your new bike! I love your new accessories, and so smart to put the reflective stripes on your basket liner.  When it comes to biking you can't be reflective, bright, or blinky enough! (I tend to go crazy with the reflective tape).  we made the decision to give up our car and commute by bike two and half years ago and I can tell you that it has changed our lives.  Keep it up, and enjoy!

20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: octopus's garden on: February 10, 2010 01:08:06 PM
I love what you've done! The pose for the octopus is really cool, and looks great with the two chains. I would love to see how all those beads shine irl, I bet it's fantastic.
