241  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pullip Doll size question on: June 28, 2007 08:24:51 PM
Yes you can make clothes for Minis, but it is much harder than making clothes for regular sized Pullips. It's difficult to work on such a small scale and clothing can often turns out poorly fitting. Still it can be done, you might want to start off with something simple, like a hat, then work your way up to making a dress.

Here are link to some patterns (they're actually for Petite Blythes but will work for Minis too):

On mobility of Minis:

Minis have very basic articulation on the neck, arms, legs and waist. The legs have wire in them so you can bend them very slightly. Minis don't have the blinking function either.

I highly recommend purchasing Minis though. I have two now and my very first Pullip was a Mini Swan. They are very cute. You'll have to watch out for flaws though. Early Mini wig quality is not very good, some Minis will snap at the waist (Froggy is more prone to this) and Minis with dark clothing will most likely have body staining.

Hope that helps!

Attach some pretty streamers to the pictures and hang them from the ceiling. Maybe make some cool cardboard frames for them if you want.

lol - the first thing that came to mind would be serving cheese, corn, and spam. . .
maybe a sugary popcoarn ball (caramel or something?) - cornballs, get it?!  Grin
terrible, terrible . . . *smacks own hand*
It sounds like it would be an awesome party!

Good idea! *Goes off to find some flavoured popcorn recipes* Heck, maybe we could even have a popcorn fight when the party starts to wind down!

I'd like to throw a sort of "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" themed party. Basically we'd take a movie and make running commentary and jokes about it. I'm thinking of asking guests to bring in bad movie and show the worst scene in it. Guests get pummelled with pillows if they utter the phrase, "This movie isn't that bad you know..."

For games I have a few ideas. I could print out IMDB's 100 worst film list and ask guess which movie is rated higher. Another idea is to have a competition to see who can come up with the worst film idea ever. Would a movie trivia game be too out of place? Can anyone suggest some good ones they know of? Any ideas for prizes?

For food, popcorn is must but are there any "themed" foods I could make? I'm not sure what to give for favours either. I could buy a whole bunch of cheap and awful DVDs to give out but it might be pointless considering not many people would actually watch them.

Suggestions for what movie to watch are welcome too   Grin
245  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Hello Kitty Mini Bag on: June 27, 2004 11:21:01 PM
Thanks SarahFroggy, for now I'll take off the straps. I could add a strap to make a handbag and when I'm not using it I can use it as a pj-pillow. That'll make it nice and versatile..

I found my old Hello Kitty Mini Bag while cleaning today. Naturally I can't use it anymore because it's too small for me now. Any ideas of what I can do with it? I thought I could make it into a pillow, but that's a little boring. Sorry about the size of the images.
