1  Re: Felt a long #11-- Nature themed, and Mixed media felting in Felting: Completed Projects by MTRuth on: March 29, 2007 07:52:08 PM
This is a combination of silk fused paper and needle felting. The paper was made with white silk, then painted with Dye-na-flow paints (yellow, red & orange), overdyed with tea and then "rusted" with steel wool and salt water. I then needle felted the tree into the paper - the wool is New Zealand romney. I haven't decided what to do with it exactly - perhaps I'll just find some way to hang it. It was fun combining the two techniques for this felt a long.

Better late than never I guess. Here are my tiger lilies that I needlefelted. I did wet felt the petals to harden them up. There is a wire in the stems. I was inspired by this topic to make these and I'm going to give them to my mother and mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Thanks for all the inspiration!

3  Felted Booties for My 4.5 pound Yorkie in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by MTRuth on: February 05, 2007 07:13:41 PM
Hi all,

I have been posting on the felting portion of the forum but noticed this one about pets and related crafts. So here are my wet felted booties made with a resist that I felted for my dog. When it gets below freezing they help to keep his toes from freezing. I hope you like them.

Thanks for looking,
