1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / splitting scrubs on: January 06, 2008 09:28:44 AM
Maybe its just beyond me...but how do you split scrubs in the same jar? Like half of the jar is one color scrub, the other half is another color.

thanks Smiley
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / scenting shimmer dust on: November 26, 2007 12:16:05 PM
Im making a shimmer dust out of mica, arrowroot powder, and cornstarch but I'd like to make a line that are scented and/or flavored but how would I go about doing that without making the shimmer dust clumpy?

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / solid bubble bars on: October 19, 2007 11:00:41 AM
so i know lush sells them and there was a recipe here on craftster for them but im wondering if anyone wants to speculate why theres no citric acid in these recipes? Aren't they just bath bombs with a different name? Would it be bad to add citric acid to these?

do i love question marks? YES!
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / psoriasis on: October 17, 2007 07:22:09 AM
mornin'
I've had a request to make a product to help treat psoriasis. I've been looking around the internet to see if theres something I can do for this poor woman (no insurance + prescription prices = no fun) but seem to come up short. Anyone have any suggestions on what she could do? I already recommended epsom salt soaks and she said that hasnt worked.
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / bath/body parties? on: October 02, 2007 12:50:52 PM
I've seen some crafters offer the option of hosting parties for their products in your home (think candlelight party) and I was wondering if theres some info anyone knows about on doing this. I'd like to give my customers the option if they so desire but I would have no idea where to begin!

8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / soap loaf mold? on: September 06, 2007 09:50:51 PM

a)if anyone here has a mold that they love and would recommend where they bought it
b)what the basic things are that i should know about wooden loaf molds
c) just reiterating that i dont know anything about using these and need help Smiley
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / bath melts wont come out on: June 25, 2007 02:57:30 PM
so thanks to the advice I got, I decided it was time to just remove myself from bath bombs, but I didnt want to waste them (they really do smell lovely) so I added them to a mixture of oil and melted shea butter to create bath melts....and now I cant get them out of the molds!

I have those flexible ikea ice cube trays and theyve been sitting in the freezer for about 1-2 hours. everytime I try to get them out they crack in the middle and they feel like theyd just flub (i cant think of a better word) out of shape.

any advice on how to get them out? should i just wait longer to try to get them out? it just feels like i did something wrong...
