I never thought of making truffles. I wouldn't even know where to start..
 Are they complicated?

I made brownies and sugar cookies for a Valentine's day tea party...
They were so pretty.. the butterflies were actually a cookie cutter shaped like lips that I didn't think looked much like lips. We decorated with a simple glaze and flower sprinkles..

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / My fishy valentine... on: February 14, 2007 10:46:07 AM
My baby girl is in the 1st grade and we decided to make her Valentine cards for her class... She came up with the theme..underwater. And we were inspired by Ed Emberley's Finger print book....
Of course the picture doesn't due it justice..
The fish are fingerprints.. then I inked in the tail and fins..
The paper behind was hand painted with watercolors...blue and magenta... They all look different and bluetifully watery...
It was my daughters idea to add something extra.. the glitter matched perfectly..

We are so happy with the results..
Hope you all like...This is our first shared project on crafters...

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Valentine's cooking on: February 14, 2007 10:42:56 AM
Its just me and my daughter this year.. Daddy's outta town for the week.. weep weep...
Dinner is gonna be weired cuz of all her favorite foods she loves... Mashed potatoes corn and enchiladas... nice combo huh?

But I'm surprising her with a tea party when she gets home...
pink lemonade.. I know no children who actually like tea..
brownie bites dusted in powder sugar and heart shaped sandwich bites... PB&J ... with a picky eater I can't get too creative.. Sad
It will still be fun...

I don't know if someone has already posted this.. But in the men's section of the shaving products is the Colgate brand shaving foam stuff.. Really cheap.. usually on the bottom shelf..

I've done this once with my daughter, but instead we used cool whip and she was finger painting with it... It was great.. She was 1 1/2 and I have some great photos of it.. Still have the pictures she painted even though the colors faded a bit... we did that in 2002
