The little wooden beads are upcycled from a broken necklace I got in a Value Village grab bag!

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tension control! You know, in sewing, not in the brain. on: April 20, 2008 07:51:34 AM
My mom has an old kenmore and when we thread it, the thread does not go through the hoop on the tension knob part - it simply lays on the under side of it and then you hook it through the metal loop above the tension knob.

I have my mom's sewing machine here but my camera has been left in my friends car. Hopefully, he will return it early this week (I'm hoping for monday) and then I can post pics of the sewing machine threaded. Let me know if you need them!

6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: New Painted Heels (VERY Pic Heavy) on: March 15, 2008 05:27:27 AM
These are wicked! I am definitely going out today and picking up supplies! These will be perfect for my environmental groups "Trashion" show! Thank you for posting! I think I'll try using straight up fabric paint. Any particular glue you used for the ribbon and buttons?

Wow! This gives me great inspiration for the "Trashion" show my environmental youth group is having! Great job!
