1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / bag constructing advice on: September 28, 2011 07:22:39 AM
I have this bag which's design I really love its simple and clean - but the colour is a little to flashy for every day and its also too small to fit everything i usually carry around ^^

so since someone gave me this beautiful, lush, diviiiine leather swatches (am i overdoing it with the praise - i love it!)  I think it would be perfect and i already found a nice lining as well. The bag is quite simple in its design, and i feel confident about making a simmilar one, adjusting the pattern to make it bigger and a little rounder maybe ...

but i really dont know how i would start sewing it O_O

fist the lining, then the zipper, then the base, then handles?
or first the handles, then the bottom and then the zipper?
im really not sure, and i know that leather is not very forgiving with mistakes, so I would be soo greatful for advice, suggestions and ideas!!!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / kaviar gauche bag on: February 28, 2009 03:06:44 PM
i totally fell in love with this kaviar gauche bag:

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_l3glvts0Xu4/SYhb7CEapBI/AAAAAAAAAXk/knFtwi0g80g/s320/kaviar-gauche-1.jpg

but theres no way i could ever afford it >.<

so i was wondering if i could make a simmilar one myself and it doesnt seem too complicated to sew some stripes together and make the bottom and wrinkles... im just not sure about the top you know, how to make it all that round?

id reaaaally appreciate any help with finding out ^.^

(im sorry if this rather belongs with designer homage, i just thought since it is a bag and no clothes here seemed better?)
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / fleamarket book on: February 16, 2009 11:56:39 AM
i found this really cute french book for rumanian learners at the flea market and just had to buy it!
since i speak neither french nor rumanian i took it apart and sewed different kinds of paper and canvas as well as some pages of the book together to make myself a new sketchbook. I also added two bookmarks (one is never really enough for me ^.^) and a bow to keep it closed (made it a bit too full)
i just love it! never tried booksewing before, its so much fun, the whole cutting and sewing and glueing, definitely something ill try again =D

~~thanks for looking ^.^

5  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / wool cashmere high collar coat? on: September 11, 2007 07:43:36 PM
So i saw this coat and tried it on and loved it immediately but it was kind of pricey and yeah well i thought it didnt look too hard to make it myself, you know, why buy something when i can make it myself, right^^
buut since i didnt have anything to take pics, i just took some notes about the cut and wrote down the info but its not really enough to make a pattern from it buuut unfortunately i cant seem to find a picture of it anywhere so i thought id ask here?
it was a eileen fisher cedar hogh collar coat in green, wool cashmere.
anyone has an idea where to look for a picture? id be grateful forever ^^*
love
