That coat is really cute! For some reason even though they really don't go together I love purple and green. (it might be a leftover from watching barney as a kid?) So, the lining is a nice color and I love the apple type fabric for the hoodie.

Wow - that is quite the ambitious storyboard!    I think it's a great idea to make sure each new item you sew coordinates with at least 2-3 others, that way you won't have "orphan" garments if you end up losing steam or changing directions. 

I totally agree. I'm mostly sewing my 'storyboard' for work clothes. I just finished the skirt buttterick 4859 and it is super cute. I wore it to work today and my goal was to see if I got any compliments on it but since I am such a blabbermouth I kept asking "Do you like my skirt?" and when they said it was nice or whatever I would blurt out "I MADE IT MYSELF!" Anyway, the jacket (mc5395 short sleeves) comes tomorrow and friday and the shirt (b4987) soon after.

I have discovered that it is so much more satisfying to sew something for yourself and brag about it then it is to say, "I went shopping yesterday I bought x y and z." It was a new sort of high and I love it. I'm addicted.

So I am super excited for this! I just bought a sewing machine (I've been wisting for years) and I spent all morning planning my little outfits. So here's what I got:

I'm planning on tackling a skirt, a top, and a jacket first because I don't want to overwhelm myself.

ooo those are so cute! i loved sonic as a kid. tails is definitely my favorite, his expression is too cute.

Yea I don't really understand why Kevin didn't win, maybe the purple shirt was a bit much for Heidi (but I liked it!!) and it was a three piece, maybe because the vest was a little short? i felt like it should have at least hit his pants you know?
Anyway I hope they go back to women's wear, men's wear is pretty boring. I could care less, and there's only so much you can do. At least with women's wear you can be pretty sure no one's going to do the same piece.

i think the belt is super rad... makes me wish i wore belts hehe...

I just got sidetracked for an hour on the SCA website and funnily enough I fall under the kingdom of Æthelmearc... I'm actually quite interested in getting involved as I have a lot of free time on my hands now... so you might see me around?

It's working about the same, but I should mention that sites don't lag for me usually because I'm on an OC3 connection at my college. Sooo, there's prolly nothing you can do short of unplug the server that'll make me lag, or have it perform slowly.

I totally just bought a grey version of the pink/red cowl neck and am super excited!! Anyway I love the things you do and the duct tape stuff is awesome. I so want to buy more, but have to wait for paychecks boo, but on a happy note, I get more clothes!

It's super cute, the only reason I would reccomend not doing this is it would void the warranty. My roomate did something like this and the next day her phone broke. Soo... she had to shell out like 500 for a new one and such. Lame.
