I am in love with your bag! You did a great job mixing the different fabrics and shades together. A very unique bag! Good job! Wow! - Really really nice....

First of all I also love and am addicted to Japanese Craft Books and their ideas.
Second, I love the projects you made - the combination of the fabrics and most of all the embroidery.

Now I silly question: You do all the embroidery by hand? Are there only a certain number of stitches you have to know? And the thread is a thicker one than the ordinary sewing machine one?

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: duffle bag-ish pattern? on: September 11, 2007 11:35:37 AM
I am also looking for quite some time for the perfect pattern for duffel bags. I found this one: http://www.savvyseams.com/bags/miniduffel.php

I didn't try it out myself yet - but it's on my list. Somebody else tried this one?
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for a tute. Help is appriciated! on: September 11, 2007 10:23:20 AM
I found another pleated bag tutorial on craftster: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49030.0

Maybe from reading about different techniques you can imagine how to make your bag.
7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: help with my sewing machine... tension??? on: September 10, 2007 08:51:28 PM
You know what: I have exactly the same problem. It doesn't matter what kind of cloth I saw on or how much I play with the thread tension it always comes up like you mentioned. It really bugs me because this is a fairly new machine. I'll try to turn the bobbin inside the case the other way round and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the tip.

I love the fabric and the shape of your bag. Really nice! You came up with the pattern yourself?

Thank you for posting the tutorial. You make it look very easy. In the past I also did some wallets folded up but I defiantly will try this one as well!
