I just moved to Amsterdam with my husband, and I'm so excited to be here! I already feel the crafty vibe of the city, everywhere I go I see handmade stuff and I love it!

What do you say we arrange a little crafty meet-up, so we can get to meet each other and exchange ideas? I'm still free practically every day, all day long, since I'm currently looking for a job, so I'll leave the dates up to you! What do you think?

Hey guys! I finally decided to pick up a project I started last year. Since I was pretty bigger last summer, I decided not to finish it, but this year, I'm feeling pretty good!! It's very easy actually, it's just two circles! I picked it up from a french magazine, I really don't remember what it's called... So, here go the photos!

First up the "I'm too cool to take a photo of myself" picture!

Hi guys! I´m not very good on commenting my own photos, so here goes: I´ve made several things since last year that I bought my own little Singer Barbie machine (it has butterflies on it!!!), but I was so bored of taking photos... So now that I have a new camera, I decided to go for it!!

First up, a dress made from an IKEA curtain (you can actually see the other half on the back!) It´s a pretty simple dress, but I need to work on my sewing skills regarding cleavage....



I don´t know if you tell, but the fabric has this beautiful design. It´s like vertical threads... whatever....



This is from a Burda magazine. I got the fabric for 1 euro/meter!!



It wraps around, and I love the neck!!



Next item, another curtain dress, and another Burda pattern. This time, the curtain is from the '70s or something, I got it from a second-hand shop



Very "professional"!!



I really love the color in this one! Again, Burda pattern, at least that´s how it begun, but it ended up completely diferent!



I feel like a dancer in it!!



Lastly, YET another dress! Or at least something like it... This is one of the very first I made, so I just begun by sewing two rectangles together... From then on, it was cutting time!! I think I exaggerated a little bit on the cutting part!!






Please comment you guys, it means a lot!! I could really use some help, because I´m still figuring out which clothes fit me better and which not, so any comment would be really hepful! Thanks

I made these last night, and I absolutely adore the colours!! One of them is for my neighbour, but I will definately steal it from her from time to time!!





They were so long, I didn´t have anywhere to let them dry, so I just hanged them from my toilet window!! At least I got some good comments from the other neighbours!

Hi everyone! Well, I just made my first skirt from scratch! I´m also having a batik class, so I thought I should try it at home as well. Well, here goes nothing!

I bought 100% white cotton fabric, I draw my version of the "tree of life" on the front and I just doodled on the back, and then painted it orange! Very easy actually, but I had to hand sew it all as I don´t allow myself to buy a sewing machine until July that I finish university!!

What do you guys think?

I did this for my batik class! As I have no imagination, I was just doodling around, and at the end I realised the lines looked a bit like flowers, so I added the petals! It´s very basic really, just a plain old sheet and some green paint! Tell me what you think!

Ok, so I bought this blouse last year and it was horrible! It was supposed to go with another top underneath, and it was huge on the waist, not flattering at all... But I was really drawn by the fabric, so I bought it... I founded it today on my pile of summer clothes, I got a bit creative, and this is what I came up with!

I made the neck with the string and cut A LOT of fabric from behind, near the waist. VERy BAD hand sewing...

Hello all! My question might be a little bit stupid, but I´m quite lost! I´m working on the cowl neck sweater by lionbrand (http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/70210A.html?noImages=0), which is worked vertically. The instructions say that you work in hdc fro 16 in. and then you shape the armhole, and then, all of a sudden, you fasten off! What happened to the other armhole? It is supposed to be in the middle of a long rectangle. Do I continue for another 16 in after shaping the first armhole?? It says that you shape the other one while sewing at the end.... I am soooo confused!!

Hey! So, I was too bored to go to clases, and I had 3 balls of acrylic wool that surely someone had cursed and I couldn´t knit anything wearable...
