2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Papermache ball ideas? on: December 13, 2007 08:01:22 AM
My aunt has a "bowl of balls" that used to fascinate my youngest. It's just a wooden bowl (salad bowl perhaps?) filled with a bunch of different kinds of balls, some are wooden, some are covered in feathers, some covered in sequins, some have beads attached with pins, in fact, one has nothing but pins stuck in all over it making patterns... it's a great curio/conversation piece year round!!

I loveeeeeeee this!! I'm in the process of a move and decorating project and had an idea that I'd need a bunch of matching frames for, so ya just gave me my solution, and an inexpensive one too, thanks!

The wooden dragon ones i found at a Dollar Store, only a buck (I found mine at the bottom of a wall of toys, like party favours etc), and a set of the larger white ones I found at Value Village for $3 (our local value village is getting really crappy prices, that was probably the last time I'll be shopping there)

Bongirl5: Oh wow, a "this rocks"  Shocked thank youuuu!!

hawkeyes_girl: I agree, lol!! Been thinking of doing up a liner with a black plastic tablecloth... you know, the kind that has the soft stuff on one side? then my cell would be protected from scratches and the rain.

Kasizzle: I worked on it over a four day span as I watched videos and found a couple hours during the day to do the same.

Thank you for the positive comments... I was nervous about posting pics,  lol

It isss alot of work, but it's veryyy relaxing at the same time. I work on it mostly while watching videos or having coffee with friends. I took this up last month when I quit smoking, just so I'd have something to keep my hands and mind busy, but it seems I've swapped one addiction for another Cheesy
