1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Flower hair clips -- with TUTORIAL! on: December 12, 2009 03:31:24 PM
So I saw your flowers and tutorial and had to try them myself.  I'm afraid mine aren't as pretty, but they were fun to make and I'll definitely wear them!  I'm giving them away to my girlfriends for Christmas.  I wish I had gone with beads instead of buttons, but I think they turned out OK.

Thank you for the tutorial!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Damask Tile Coasters on: November 23, 2009 08:15:01 PM
These are awesome!  I think I've found something I can totally make for gifts this holiday season.  I was wondering, though: do you put anything on the bottom of the coaster?  I'm worried that the tiles might scratch wooden surfaces.  Would there be a way of gluing something like a piece of felt to the bottom of the tile?
3  COOKING / Dessert / Please Help! Pastry cups filled with fruit... on: October 31, 2007 01:50:31 PM
About a year ago I found an amazing recipe for a pastry cup made out of this fattening but oh-so-great cream cheese & butter dough that was then shaped in a muffin tin and baked.  Then the recipe called for melted chocolate to line the inside of the cup, which was then filled with fruit!

I cannot recall if I found it on craftster or some other site, but I'm hoping someone here knows the recipe I'm talking about (or a similar one)!  My hard drive crashed on my old PC last winter so I lost my bookmarks, and I just discovered that I never wrote the recipe down in my recipe book (*smacks self*).  I promised a friend of mine who LOVES them that I'd bring them to a party tomorrow night, and she's been bugging me for months to make them.

So...help!  Please!  Anyone?   Huh

I'm totally going to do this!  I can't wait!  What a neat idea, and easy, too.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: My sweet 16 this summer... help! on: February 07, 2007 11:56:58 PM
Instead of driving through McDonald's, you could always pack of food and have dinner on the beach.  It could be a potluck with all of your friends and you could have a cake and what not.
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: I want a recipe for cupcakes! on: February 06, 2007 07:49:00 PM
These self-filled cupcakes are easy to make and really, really tasty.  I sure you could substitute vanilla cupcakes for chocolate ones.

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Spill Your Valentine's Ideas Here... I Won't Tell! on: January 29, 2007 10:57:15 PM
My friend is having an anti-Valentine's Day party.  We're all supposed to dress up in 'emo' outfits.  I'm planning on screen printing a red broken heart on a black hooded sweatshirt or something like that.  I'm also going to cook a bunch of comfort food and make mix CDs with anti-love songs on them.

As V-Day gifts I'm going to buy pink tee-shirts for my friends and screen print the word 'Squirrel' on it, since our favorite drink is the Pink Squirrel.

This will be my first time screen printing.  Wish me luck!
