1  Re: Venezia from Interweave Winter 06 by Eunny Jang in Knitalongs by Moiraine on: August 29, 2007 03:25:54 PM
Just want to post an update.  I finished my modified Venezia.  I am really  happy with the results.  I originally thought I'd never be able to wear this without a long sleeved shirt underneath.  But I have found that the wool surprisingly doesn't really bother me.  It's a little rough, but I don't find it to be itchy.  So I'll just wear a camisole underneath instead.  Smiley  Anyway, here's some pics...

Cool, Cynder!  I can't wait to see it!

Update on my sweater...
I seamed the shoulders using three needle bind-off.  I also folded over the cut steek edges on the neckline and armholes and steamed them a bit to get them to lay flat.  I tried it on and think it would actually look nice as a sweater vest too!  But I am going to add the sleeves.  Wink

I'm mostly finished with the body.  I just need to cut the steeks (hopefully tonight!) and do all of the finishing.  My neck steeks are different from the pattern because I modified it to have a scooped neckline. My progress is below.

evelinaberg, that stinks. I know how you feel...I did a lot of ripping due to gauge problems too.

Just thought I'd update you all with a picture of my Venezia as it currently is today.  I modified the pattern to have fewer decreases/increases in the waist shaping to suit my shape better.

Very pretty Cynder!  Nice work.

Here's a shot of my progress.  I'm having so much fun knitting this.   Grin
