dellastella, those look amazing!!

if anyone is interested, my flowers came in the mail a few days ago and i've put them together into bouquets.  i think they turned out great, though maybe not everyone's style.

luckily we are going back to my FH's hometown to get married so we were able to book someplace without a problem, but one of my good friends wanted to book a gazebo at a conservatory in the city we're from and ran into the same problem.  they only start booking a year to the date ahead of time.  she said she woke up early and called fifteen minutes after they opened and someone had already beat her to it!

As far as chain stores go, I've been most impressed with the quality and selection at Hobby Lobby so far.  At least  in my neck of the woods.

I am going with fabric roses done by therussian, whom I found on etsy.  I bought fabrics in the colors I wanted and sent them to her to make into roses.  She is working on them now, but she sent me a picture of some she had finished. You can see those here.

She's making the flowers themselves and then sending them to me, and I'll be putting the bouquets together because I think I want to add something to them.  (Not entirely sure what yet...)

For the kids, we had one of those bouncy castles brought in. We had a hard time getting them out of it, and the adults wanted in on the fun too. I saw my husband sneak in there, and I was rather bummed I couldn't get in with my big 'ol dress!

the photographer in me is thinking that would have made for some awesome pictures with both of you in there all dresed up

there is also going to be bobbing for apples, and now that someone mentioned bocce ball, i totally want to get a set.  i love bocce ball!
